I'm not trying to act paranoid but after the mall shooting that occurred in the state of Oregon and the school shooting in Connecticut I hope that in this case that nothing like this occurs in the state of Minnesota and I'm saying that because I have a sister and her family who reside there and as a matter of fact my family,brother-in-law and I are to be traveling there come next week.
RIP...what senseless waste. never understood why Americans are so hung up on their right to bear arms. written for different times in different contexts. surely gun control is the answer?
The US is in terminal decline. Unemployment is higher than the Great Depression of the 1930s; American businesses are queuing up to relocate to China, and the education system turns out illiterates who know little about America and nothing about the rest of the world.
The only boom businesses are prisons (the Americans imprison a greater proportion of the population that Stalin ever did) and the War industry. The American produced more bombs and weapons of mass destruction that the rest of the world combined. It also has the biggest overseas occupation army in the history of mankind is busy dropping those bombs on foreigners of whom it knows little and cares even less.
The barbarity to shows to foreigners is now endemic in American culture and will devour that nation from within.
America is doomed, of that I am certain. The only question is whether this dying beast will destroy the rest of humanity first.
I feel so sorry for the friends and families of the victims. It is sad to say this, but these sort of shootings/ massacres are not rare in the US. This is a major concern which needs addressing in US society. RIP
I am sad for the victims here. This goes to show you how sick and violent the USA has become. In no other country in the world do you here of such things on a regular basis such as school shootings like you do in the USA. America should not be imitated in anyway.

The US constitutional firearms amendment links keeping guns to belonging to a properly organised militia - it should not be interpreted as a free licence for every idiot (as supported by the arguments of the gun lobby) to own any and every type of killing machine.
It is time that the US enforced militia service for every one who wants to keep a gun - several days unpaid active service per year with appropriate regular character and mental health checks.
Gun lobby lunacy has cost too many children's lives.
I was just watching on the news and find myself so shaken up. Those poor little ones, how frightened they must've been and murdered before their lives have even begun.
I don't know what's it's like in America but here in Australia we can expect more crimes committed by the mentally ill because we have closed down many mental institutions and now most of our mentally ill live at home. We have no way of knowing if our next door neighbour is mentally ill or not. The government is cutting down on health so much that our people just cannot access quality health care and a place in an institution. The only way they can is if they commit a crime and then they are locked away for criminally insane reasons.
This monster must've been so ill and nobody kept him off the street.
I cannot imagine anything worse than having your child die before you and especially so young.
Instead of invading other lands with the pretense of saving America, they should really save America ind invest in health and law and order.
What a tragic day this has been and in fact with Christmas just "around the corner" the parents of the deceased schoolchildren expected the Christmas holidays to be a joyous time for them and their kids but now all those expectations are dashed due to the actions of the crazed gunman(men) so I'm therefore not surprised that their parents are in little or no mood to enjoy the Christmas holidays after the tragedy that befell them.
If I may add and I'm not trying to be funny or "corny" but I recall when I was 9 years old I received a defective train set for Christmas the following Xmas I received a small robot that can transform into an automobile so when I attempted to transform the robot into car mode a piece broke off where I was rather upset for the day and when I was 14 I received a defective radio/tape recorder for Xmas(however I put these incidents behind me)so my point is that in retrospect this is nothing compared to someone losing a family member or anyone who's dear to us prior to Christmas so if we're ever in that situation Christmas may never be the same.Finally and most important I want to say R.I.P to those poor kids whose lives have been cruelly taken from them.
