In Nazi Germany, the more children you had the bigger the rewards; there was even financial reward just getting married.

Russia needs to get used to becoming a smaller player in an ever bigger growing world. Russia wears shoes which are too big for it as it is.

Russia has a serious problem with population decline, the only reason Russia's population has halted recently is due to the importation of Chinese and other foreign nationals to cities like St Petersberg; whilst ethnic Russians leave Russia for a better life in the West. It is very well Putin suggesting that all Russians have at least three children but Russia isn't geared up to having a larger population. Russia lacks the necessary Social Security as it is. Russia increasing it'd population, will increase the amount of Russians wanting to come to the West in the future.

The baby girls born in 1980 started leaving the population of potential mothers as they reached 30 years of age in 2010. For the next 7 years, until 2020, the baby girls of the late 1980s will also be having their own babies, but the total population of potential mothers will be declining as the older group leaves. And then the country goes over the population cliff of the 1990s, when the number of births fell off drastically. Even at the peak of the expansion in potential mothers, around 2010, Russia barely eked out any increase in population growth at all. So this increase in the number of women of the usual child-bearing age in Russia was a temporary condition, and has passed. In 2020, the small number of babies born in the 1990s will start to replace the last of the larger groups of the final years of the 80s, and the total population of mothers will start to decline again. Putin has his work cut off for him if he hopes to persuade these new mothers to increase the number of children they bear to three each - even two, which would not quite replace their own generation, seems to be a challenge.

Putin is on the right track. Mother nature has blessed Russia with some of the richest reserves of natural resources in the world. These rich resources belongs to ordinary Russian men and women.
The biggest problem in Russia is a handful of corrupt "mafia" people stealing these riches from the russian people, its rightful owners.
