Kostunica should be careful what he wishes for. If the Court rules that these agreements are not in accord with his Constitution, then the government may decide they need to amend, if not entirely rewrite, the Constitution. As they say in the U.S., "the Constitution is not a suicide pact." If adhering to the present provisions means isolating Serbia essentially forever, and the government decides it can't live with that, rewriting the document is the solution. It's not as though it's never been done before.

Samaržić is talking out of context and is somewhat deluded. Nobody is giving away anything.
Kosovo is autonomous and has been for a long time just like all the other republics of former Yugoslavia.
Go tell Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia to take down their borders. These territories where also once considered to be Serbian ( I mean Yugoslavian but then Milosevic for a while referred to Serbia as Yugoslavia before it became the republic of Serbia-and-Montenegro), right?
It is time for some, correction, most of our politicians to grow up and stop playing the old nationalistic tunes of the communist era and populist cards which so often dubed the masses in the old days. They need to get real, focus on the future and start working on those election promises. Get unemployment down, the economy working and earn a rightful place among civilized society.

I have see and read many things years back and I remember times when this DSS party was together with DS yelled that the way to EU is the right way. They lost elections together with DS and now the way to EU is the wrong way...hey people decide once what do you want and what is your policy and then stand up and say.Until then try to be quiet and let your government to their job

We've seen all kinds of things in our history, but to give away the state in exchange for a possible date - that goes too far," Samaržić concluded.

That's putting it mild. You don't give away your territory even for a gaurantee entry into the EU. Who else in the EU had to forfeit their country? I can't understand why these flunky politicians are even acknowledging these proposals, it's an insult!! But then again, this is typical of the Serbian sell out politicians. There is a glimmer of hope though, judging by the massive demonstrations perpetuated by the university students regarding the release of the Croation war criminals, is an indication that the Serbian youth is now embracing an anti-EU, US stance. It is this youth that will lead Serbia one day.

It was Kostunica's idea to take this to Constitutional Court precisely because it was Kostunica who basically wrote Serbia's current Constitution. So obviously it is against the law for the current authorities to be meeting with representatives from institutions Serbia does not recognize. If they want they can call elections and Ivica Dacic should invite Thaci to speak at his campaign rally and if the people vote for him only then can this be acceptable.

Now if these Judges somehow decide that these agreements are not against the Serbian Constitution then its those people who are wrong and need to be removed from their positions.
