DSS: EU abused Serbia's membership ambition

He's right and therefore Serbia should act on this belief and stay away from the dictatorial Serb-disdaining EU.
Serbia should continually look at Switzerland as an example. Switzerland is not in the EU, yet it doesn't seem to harm its economy nor other aspects of its functioning.
Serbia should/could actually undue the things it implemented for the EU that didn't do it any good.
Why should Serbia keep drinking the prescribed poison for empty EU promises and promises which won't turn out to be any real good or panacea anyway.
Slovenia's economy has fallen over 8% in the last 3 years: how did joining the EU help it?

The EU did abuse Serbia's desire to join the EU.

This is 100% Serbia's fault.

Serves them right. No one forced Serbia to try and join the EU. The fact that 1999 didn't send a clear message is Serbia's own fault.

That is one of the most disgusting messages ive ever seen here and it shows how the Albanian's mind works. For no other reason than that the Albanians say so, Serbs are not humans and therefore it is allowed to measure with a double standard. Much like how it is not okay to kill a human being, but no one will really care if you step on an insect, in the eyes of the Albanian the Serb is the insect and not a human. But the second an Albanian gets as much as a finger pointed at him, there is enough reason to start riots and "respond with violence because we have no other choice with this injustice being done to us". Simply disgusting.

I will be the first in line of the foreign volunteers when Serbia goes to take back Kosovo much like i would have done if i had lived to see world war 2 in my country against the Nazis, the only difference between the nazis and them is that the nazis were honest about what they were doing.

Serbia joining EU is like Afghanistan becoming the 51st state of USA -- it makes no sense. The serbs are the most hostile and violence-prone people on the face of our continent. These are the people that only negotiate with bullets and bombs; a lot was achieved in 78 days, a lot was achieved in Operation Storm, etc.

The worst part ever, the SUPERIORITY COMPLEX, ughhhh.

Finally he got it... Not EU's fault why Serbs are hoodwinked that easily (not just by the EU, but by Russia, China and almost everybody).

Serbs should rather never join the EU - that's probably the only thing for which Albanians share the same opinion with them.

Really, the most "disgusting comment" you've read thus far? Truth hurts! Fact is that Serbia was involved in more wars in the last twenty (20) years than any other country. I'll throw in another fact for free, Serbia has been the aggressor.

I'm not sure wether you are a victim of propaganda that is kept dumb by the people that wrote your history books, teach history class and the people that run your country, or if you are deliberately trying to convince people that your lies are truth, however it does not work on me because i actually did my research before coming here. In fact the research i did was reason for me to start paying mind to the whole balkan situation.

Please realise that the story you tell, which is the story of the ICTY, is a story that only has support in the elite of certain political instututions such as governments.

How could Serbia be the agressor if it was the sovereignity of Yugoslavia that was attacked by seperatist groups, and the JNA (made up of people from YUGOSLAVIA, not serbia) tried to stop this? At least put -some- effort in your lies before you publish them. Or rather, don't speak and save your breath for your prayers, that the new battle for Kosovo comes later rather than sooner, because the outcome is already decided.
