I am fed up with the spurious kind of anti-US bigotry that is eternally on this site - not that I have great admiration for the US politics myself. However, in terms of human freedoms, Putin is a much bigger problem to Russians that Obama or even the US system is to US citizens.

If you're fed up with anti US bigotry, then go to a US site. We are not fed up and we much prefer Russia to the US.
As far as personal freedom is concerned...BRADLEY MANNING COMES TO MIND.

How much personal freedom do people who wish to expose American dirty laundry enjoy?
Grow up. There is no freedom anywhere. What do you think Americans have than the Russians don't as far as personal freedom is concerned?
Please give us some examples of the difference.

You don't see Russia going around the world bombing countries back to stone age do you, but you do see America doing it time and time again.

And yes, we are pissed off for the bombing of Serbia. Milosevic did not invite them to bomb anyone. It's like saying a rape victim is at fault for wearing a short skirt.
Grow up.

The trouble here is that posters still resent the bombing that Milosevic invited on Belgrade. It is Milosevic that ***** me off prior to the bombings by his pathetic use of nationalistic politics, and it is posters who have not outgrown the mentality that invited the bombing who still ***** me off.

And yes, I do not think much of the way Albanians managed to ethnically cleanse Serbs from Kosovo either.

I doubt you will find any high ranking individual traveling to Russia for their health or relaxation.

Believe me or not, but many western high ranking women go to Russia to make love to hairy and bearded Chechens. (:-| }

So next time an American high ranking delegation will come here some of the members may be deported immediately after they land. Be it a minister or a general. The US will be slapped and spitted at whenever Kremlin decides so. I guess it will entertain people in other countries and KM like reservations which cannot afford to behave similar.

Would be interesting if life was as you suggest. However, before anyone plans travel to Russia from US, visa has been granted. And if they are traveling to Russia it is to do business with Russia so Russia will want them as much as they want to go. I doubt you will find any high ranking individual traveling to Russia for their health or relaxation.

“ Russia is wrong to … “

With 3% of population controlling 41% of the world’s natural resources Russia is automatically wrong whatever we do ! No matter if we are led by the Tsar or Lenin or Stalin or Eltsyn or Gorby or Putin we are always wrong. No matter if we are building communism or capitalism we are also wrong as 41% for only 3% is really much. More than that we can destroy the rest of the world If they only try to approach us. So now and then the West unites to check us up be it under Napoleon or Hitler or Reagan or any other bustard.

As for the item discussed most folks here are unaware that the Russian list is not revealed. So next time an American high ranking delegation will come here some of the members may be deported immediately after they land. Be it a minister or a general. The US doesn't even protect it's own citizens to free speech and equal justice. See US lawyer activist Glenn Greenwald's piece in the war loving Guardian:

The US is right to make an issue of Russia's human rights.

Russia is wrong to not to properly address the issues raised.

This reaction is childish.

Bradley Manning ring a bell? Russia should do more to bring to the worlds attention the shameful human rights record USA has. but then again bob, you are as bad as the albo trolls here in being led by US propaganda and just as the albo trolls, there is no help for you.

I cannot defend Russia in this matter, as I do not know the facts about the sudden death of this lawyer while in prison, but I am disgusted that the US always takes the moral high ground in these matters, when they certainly have some highly questionable matters they were involved in. To mention a few, the sudden death of Milosevic in a Western run court, the acquittal of war criminals that were once backed by the US, some cases suprisingly overturned by appeals judges, support for rogue governments around the world to suit their own interests, even if it created havoc and internal chaos, such as Egypt, Libya, Kosovo, Georgia, and on and on. And let us not forget the brutal wars started by the Americans, all under the cloak of liberation and spreading democracy. How many innocent Iraqi and Afghan civilians were mudered while the American liberations were going on. I take every statement and action by the USA today with a grain of salt, in other words, I do not believe them.

hey bud. Weak? I wonder why are the Russians up in arms over this. They know that their money is not safe in Russia and the only place they want to put it in is real estate in NYC. Now they cant. SO please ssigning a piece of paper is what brought down the USSR not nuclear bombs. So before you tie yourself into a pretezel think about it first

The US still expects the world to listen to them and do what they want but refuses to listen to others. The Magnitsky act shows how weak the US has become, much easier to sign a piece of paper than anything else. How times have changed.
