University students organize protest against Hague

Students dont show up on the unemployment register - they are students. (Even if they come from places you don't like, like for example Serbia.)

On a political level, I believe the students have a more than reasonable point that Serbia is being victimised by The Hague Tribunal. After all as a reasonable person I cant understand why people of different ethnicity and religion can go unpunished for the disappearance of 19 witnesses, or the mass-relocation of say 200,000 people.

These students are proof that Serbia is becoming increasingly Euroskeptic and I guarantee you almost all of them prefer the complete removal of the entire political class from Serbia. I have many friends/cousins who took part in this protest and this is undoubtedly the case.

The minister also presented some statistical data, including that 96.8 percent of those convicted by the court were of Serb ethnicity...

96.8% of those convicted are Serbs. Quite amazing for those attempting to claim this so-called court is impartial. I remember Russia bringing this up also at a UNSC meeting.

Well, it's good that students and young people are passionate about this injustice. They are the ones who will be leading Serbia when the geopolitical situation is in Serbia's favour.

As I have said before, unless a true compromise is negotiated with a path leading to truth and reconciliation, the cycle of violence will continue in this part of Europe.

This is where the immaturity of the US, Germany and EU in general shines. They continue with this might is right mentality and as such, justice will be served when the time is right.

The whole nation knows the score now and we know exactly what needs to be done to bring lasting peace to the region. What a shame they chose selective justice instead of a truth and reconciliation commission, much like South Africa. But we know that a truth commission would reveal too much about the activities of NATO/US and Germany in destroying YU.

As I can read the banners the students hold seem to be saying JUSTICE FOR ALL AT HAGUE. Maybe you should take a glance.

I didn't see any students protest when Serbs were slaughtering at will people all over the Balkans. 1 milion Albanians left their homes in fear, terrified, in the cold and on foot, hunted down by Serbian army thugs, thousands were slaughtered, 100,000 homes burned, and yet Serbia try to rationalize or justify all these crimes, rather than act to stop them and find ways to co-exist and reconcile.

2 million citizens of Serbia were treated like dogs and no one in Serbia said "Stop". No one in Serbia ever apologized or showed any remorse for the horrors of 1999.

Thaci and Ramush are heroes because of Serbia. Serbia didn't want Rugova as thier counterpart, they wanted the KLA, and they got it.

They don't like Hague's version of justice, they prefer Serbian style justice that has caused so much pain and conflict in the region.
Sorry but you should reflect upon your actions first.

I know why they are protesting, they want to put us K-Alb and Cro on the same level as the Serbs for murdering thousands and thousands. All we did was protect our doorstep so there cannot be equality here. Keep protesting the verdicts are final and thank God they are from the democratic World and would remain so.

Just admit you Serbs did wrong and let's move on.

But with a real unemployment of 70 % of the youth like it's now in Serbia it's the Hague the real target ?...

Serbia should cease cooperation with the Hague as it's evident that it is nothing more than a Dutch-lead anti-Serb hatefest.

What borders?Kosovo was a part of Serbia remember?As for the wars in croatia and bosnia both of them were parts of Yugoslavia and bosnian serbs fought in bosnia and vojska republika srpske krajine in croatia so no crossing borders there too. What are you high on?Last but not least the yugoslav peoples army was the only legitimate army to fight within yugoslav borders, all the others were paramilitarys including arbih and hv and hvo so shut up about something u dont have a clue about.

No they are protesting because justice is unfair and that there are no punishment for those of you albanians and others that murdered, slaughtered and raped tens of thousands of serb civilians during the wars. Unlike you we arrested our criminals but you on the other hand celebrate ur murderers and rapists as heroes, thats the difference between you and us. For you a civilians life is nothing worth as long as he or she is a serb. And by the way how could Haradinaj protect something that wasnht his from the beginning?

Where do u get ur lies from?According to official data the unemployment for people up to 30 yrs is between 25-27%

During WW1 & WW2 the Serb propaganda machine successfully fooled the world in believing that they were saints. Not anymore the world will not be tricked a third time. Protest as much as you like it means nothing. The Serbs will continue to isolate themselves with this kind of behaviour.
