I hope to god that the Serbian leadership sobers up to what the new EU is all about. It's a house of cards propped up by Germany, thank god it has been exposed prior to Serbia making major concessions in order to get in.

Good luck to you croatia, funny how history repeats itself. Croatia picks the Germans as partners just before the collapse.

Considering Slovenia was never in a war why has it come to this point where you have riots all over the place – remember that their main source of income is, like Croatia, tourism?
As even Croatian officials now say they are only second to Spain in unemployment and expected to even pass it soon and Croatia is now rated as the most corrupt country about to join the EU – these are Croatian officials words not mine Every industry has to be sold off or closed down that is owned by the government and any subsidies must stop so how much industry will be left in Croatia????.
NOTHING!!! If you think 2012 is hard for your Croatia wait for 2013 – its going to be even worse. Your officials fear an unemployment rate of 30%+.

but when you take raw material from Serbia do a little processing and sell for hard currency and be allowed to keep a lot of it, why not have good living standards. Why hasn’t Slovenia been able to replicate those living standards since becoming a country????? That is what happens with mythology – its exposed very quickly.
To the Croats look at today’s Slovenia very carefully because this is what happens when the EU no longer subsidies your treasury coffers.
(sj, 4 December 2012 12:27) SJ you just exposed your own myth! Now Serbia can process material from Serbia do a little processing and sell for hard currency and be allowed to keep a lot of it, why not have good living standards. Then Serbia can be the big America of the Balkans ya sure what went wrong sj? Don't tell me Croatians and Slovenians company's own little Serbia and keep the profits. When Serbia stole a lot of company's and fenced them http://english.blic.rs/Economy/8032/Croatian-companies-shall-sue-Serbia-if-it-sells-their-property to Russians ,Greeks and to war profiteering Serbs. Back to the drawing board sj you mite come with a more unbelievable unenviable theory good luck.

Communist Serbs feeling bad for communist Slovens...

Serbs should look at their own selfs, taking billions in loans a month just to get a few million back from their own tax cattle per year.

Just like Slobo robbed the Serbs blind and took it to Cyprus, the same is happening with the present clowns.

All government employees should find real jobs, instead of being parasites on the private sector.

Little by little the cracks become wider and the true situation is exposed. As I have said many times before I recall well during the old Yugoslavia days back in the 1970s when I first visited the stories both Slovenes and Croats spread around how their economies made Serbia’s lifestyle possible and as the years went by the mythology grew bigger and better to the point where both were sick of having to support Serbia. Back in the late 1970s my relatives used to call Slovenia “little America” because life was that good there, but when you take raw material from Serbia do a little processing and sell for hard currency and be allowed to keep a lot of it, why not have good living standards. Why hasn’t Slovenia been able to replicate those living standards since becoming a country????? That is what happens with mythology – its exposed very quickly.
