In continuation of the previous comment. This mechanism is precisely what Kosovska Mitrovica Mayor Krstimir Pantić was asking for couple of days ago http://www.b92.net/eng/news/comments.php?nav_id=83445

"He explained that northern Kosovo Serbs want guarantees that taxes for goods intended for the north will not be paid at the Jarinje and Brnjak crossings"

Looks like he got it. That explains why there are no barricades up. Last time "the patriotic pillage" was threatened there were not only barricades but also shots fired at KFOR. Incredible.

Kosova,

I am Albanian, and want to be the first to condemn your rhetoric. You can't be serious, first accuse the Serbs of messing the whole Balkans, then ask from them to do what exactly Milosevic did to Albanians ( remove them). Now what makes you different than Milosevic? Are you really so naive not to understand that NATO would do the same thing to Albanians if the roles were to reverse.

Haha, all this noise about talks for nothing. And all that work from B92's Insider apparently also for nothing. I am really curious to know what has actually changed.

According to Pavicevic:
"He explained that this means that goods coming from Kosovo will be cleared in Niš and Vranje, while those coming from the opposite direction in the southern, ethnic Albanian part of the town of Kosovska Mitrovica.
Pavićević added that the EU mission, EULEX customs officers, and those of Serbia and Kosovo will "only control papers" at the administrative crossings. "

From B92's article Insider: Mechanisms of "patriotic plunder":
"EULEX members on a checkpoint just a few kilometers from there did not check the goods that are really entering, but only checked the papers. EULEX members were directing truck drivers to the Kosovo Customs terminal that is locates 50 kilometers away, in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.

However, between the Serb administrative point and the EULEX point, there are alternative ways that branch from the main road and a truck does not have to be registered at the EULEX checkpoint at all, but can instead enter northern Kosovo or return to Serbia without control via alternative roads. Even if the truck had been registered by the EULEX members, it did not have to reach the Kosovo customs terminal at all."

The EU basically put its signature on the "mechanisms of patriotic pillage". Good job Dacic. Good job Thaci. Good job Ashton.

Why do we have to share a border with serbia? Why can't they go back russia and leave Europe - no one wants serbs in Europe anyway, they all bombed you...remember.! We Albanians were here first in the Balkan, ever since serbs came along it has been hell for everyone!
