Austrian leader defends support for Palestinians

Austrian President Heinz Fischer believes that his country's decision to support Palestine's bid to become observer state at the UN was "right and logical".

Fischer also criticized a decision by Israel not to forward Palestinian tax money, saying that "threats can not be an argument".

This is what Israel has been doing all those years with the tacit support and encouragement of the US and the West in General with the sole purpose of achieving the Palestinian's total subjugation.The Israeli announcements,after the UN vote, of withholding the tax receipts from the Palestinians and the expanding of their illegal settlements is a testament of their plans and designs over the Palestinians.

However, the recent vote at the UN shows that the Israel-US project to condemn the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza to a permanent military occupation, disenfranchisement and dispossession enjoys only the endorsement of the US and some of its poodle states whereas the majority of nations have spoken with their votes for an end of the status quo and a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into two viable states living side by side.The ball now is in Israel's court.
