Yes Serbia could and that is exactly what Kostunica is saying Serbia should do. The fact is unless Serbia outright recognizes the separation of its territory as a legal and valid act then all the Albanian institutions could ever hope for is Palestine status. Even that will take a lot more work in the time ahead and a lot of money being spent towards international lobbying than improving the lives of impoverished Albanians.

Its ALL on Serbia. Her weakness is what has given the separatist cause more legitimacy than it ever would have gotten on its own(agreements legalizing EULEX, negotiations with illegal institutions, cooperation with KFOR, not providing true support to the Serbs south of the Ibar in the occupation etc).

The people most responsible for the illegal occupation have IĆ at the end of their last name. We are the problem, I promise you that..not you!

Koštunica is the only integer Serbian politician.
He speaks the truth and that's why the West doesn't like him!

This person Kostunica has introduced all the cooperation with Hague and Brussels. He is a part ofhe problem and not a part of the solution.

Kind of shows how out of touch Kostunica has become. All 15 members of the UNSC have consistently encouraged the EU brokered Belgrade/Pristina talks without regard to status, ie, whether they are pro or against an independent Kosovo. It would take a major event to turn that around.
