I am amused that the other posters have nothing to say about his argument and resort to ad hominem attacks instead. Is it to much trouble to come up with an argument, or do you only have time to toss insults on the internet?
I can't remember the last time the patriarch made any sort of public statement that was generally religious. Everything he says is political, and we already have one government for that. We don't need two.
On a slightly separate matter, the Orthodox Church hasn't had anything meaningful to say about anything for quite a while now. The fact some people still pay attention to this self-serving wizard is rather sad.
