"Serbia could wait until 2014 to get EU talks date"

Serbia could get a date for the beginning of the EU accession talks in the first half of 2013 if the European Council gives a positive opinion on December 10.

ehem.. Whoever claims Germany or the EU to be a democratic organisation is obviously having a laugh.. I am just really keen to know who brought Van Rompuy into power. He's the president of the the European council.. Was he voted by the public? I'm sure I would have heard if that was the case.. The EU is becoming more corrupt and gaining centralised power with each day and I am pretty sure it is not gonna last. So Serbia better not put all its hopes in it.

Dacic is taking typically foreign excuses, now the elections in germany in September 2013...Serbia will play ZERO role in this elctions, the name Serbia will come p only in the context of asylum-cases....Dacic will not tell the truth about the situation...its like a boy in the school who has permanent false excuses not making his homeworks...but like a teacher the Serbian people will not forget

I don't see what that has to do with Serbia's accession to the EU.

You're trying to portray some countries as being pro-Fascist/ Nazism! This is a Freedom of Speech matter.

The EU and allies (aka the majority of the democratic world) decided to abstain in that vote because they're opposed to to Nazism but they believe in freedom of speech aka "I don't agree with what you say, but I support your right to say it".

The US (as well as Canada and the Marshall Islands, two countries which usually vote the same way the US does) is of the radical belief of Freedom of Speech. They believe you should be allowed to say whatever you want, even if it offends someone.

The amusing thing about this Russian backed resolution which is supposed to "make a contribution to the elimination of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance" is that Russia is the country with a huge problem with racism, racist attacks/ violence, institutional racism and neo-nazism. This is just Russia trying to distance itself from it's own internal issues.

This resolution will do nothing to stamp down on the racism problems which Russia encounters. This resolution was all for show on Russia's behalf.

Off track but: Who glorifies Nazism? Take a look at the countries who abstained and denied (US,Canada) the vote against glorifying Nazis and fascism at the United Nations General Assembly.

Albania, Croatia, Bosnia, Germany, Austria, Italy are a few that abstained from the condemnation of glorifying Nazism.

Russia, Brazil, China, India, South Africa and obviously Serbia were some that condemned it.

US, Canada & Marshall Islands openly voted AGAINST it!!?!
