Why don't I see any news about 7.5 million Catalonias holding referendum tomorrow in Spain. They have their own language and culture. Lets see the results and what Madrid will do afterwards!

Vojvodina doesn't have a different language, culture, nation or any of the other elements that make up a state. It's just a mosaic of ethnic minorities none of which is strong or numerous enough to impose any Kosovo-like solutions. So unless some Vojvodinian Milo Dzuganovic appears out of the blue (or the american foundations) Vojvodina should't be a problem for Serbia.

I live in Vojvodina and here noone talks about being independent, we are very proud of being a part of Serbia. Remember that 65%of the population in Vojvodina are serbs and even the 15%hungarians nor the romanians or bulgarians make no noise whatsoever about independence.

As for the example of Katalunya mentioned by some of the commentators in here that's very unfortunate and bears no resemblance to the case of Vojvodina. The Katalans have their own language, culture and a long-standing rivalry with the Castillans. They have all the elements required in order to be considered a different nation than the Castillans. When did the Vojvodinians become a different nation than the rest of the Serbs?
