Its funny how you dig at the Serbs and Croats for wanting to leave the Muslims with nothing, seeing as the Muslims antagonized the war with the aim of taking all of Bosnia for themselves without sharing, these attitudes were portrayed by Izetbegovic in his 'Islamic Declaration'. So don't try and portray the Muslims as the innocents here, they are probably the most guilty for all tensions and union with them will never function properly.

First of all, I did not say the Muslims were innocent. Secondly, you're implying that the Muslims were just as much of a military threat as the Serbs and Croats prior to 1992 and that is a huge stretch. You simply cannot equate Izetbegovic's political rhetoric with the combined military forces -- and eagerness to use them -- of Milosevic and Tudjman.

Of course BiH is a failed state. The three sides were forced to share it for the sake of an uneasy peace. The Serbs and Croats have never gotten over their failure to seize those parts of BiH that they were after, though the Bosnian Serbs were at least given their own subordinate entity -- more than the Bosnian Croats got. Meanwhile, the Muslims resent the existence of RS, which they regard as a positive reward for ethnic cleansing. So no one in BiH is happy, and no one ever has been, except for the politicians who feast off their fiefdoms while pretending to be dissatisfied. Clinton and Milosevic sure liked Dayton, though!

Bosnia is a failed state that is destined to fall apart, better it happen sooner and quicker rather than slower and later. Ron,

Decentralization is fine as long as Serbs and Croats don't use it as a ruse to accomplish their original goal of dismantling BiH for their own territorial gain. As Sulejman Tihic said, this reeks of the Karadjordjevo and Graz agreements from the early 1990s, when Serbs and Croats conspired to make off with Bosnia and to leave the Muslims with nothing: http://www.ex-yupress.com/tjednik/tjednik2.html

In the UK, in Belgium, in Spain: everywhere powers are transered to the regions. This should also happen in Bosnia. Stronger entities with a functioning federal level!

Looks like Bosnia is heading for a Yugoslav type of break up! We'll, its for the best. For long term stability people shouldn't be forced to live under the same roof.
(Navin, 21 November 2012 20:10) Do you mean the one where Serbs start the pogroms of fighting ,murdering ,ethnic cleansing ,destroy ,rape and pillaging and in the end they lose big time. Now the frozen conflict in the country of Bosnia that Serbs and Serbia waged evilly criminally were on the verge of total defeat http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Mistral will be ignited. So it will be finally over the country of Bosnia will have peace looks like Serbs are just good in bringing disasters on them self's. Some people learn others continue in their self imposed blind ignorance.
