Haitian show me proof and videos of serbs ruining muslim mosques and churches in Kosovo just like you put serb monesterys and churches on fire which you can see urself on youtube. SHOW ME YOUR EVIDENCE!And you can tell americans or other people that dont know what kind of islam you practice that you are "relaxed"when it comes to religion. If you are so "relaxed"how come you have al qaida organized training camps for future jihadists in Kosovo? You train their terrorists and then you send them to Iraq and Afganistan and thats a proven fact!

A bit like the Serbs originally from Kosova which Milosevic and co used to claim were ethnically cleansed. Throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s many Serbs left Kosova for Serbia just because they didn't want to have to live near Albanians. These Serbs sold their house in Kosova to an Albanian for lots of money and they'd buy a much bigger house in Serbia for less money, in a better economically developed and nicer (ethnically pure) area with more land and have plenty of money left over. Then when Milosevic came to power, he claimed that they had been ethnically cleansed from Kosova, what a joke.
Yes many Albanians left Kosova for a better life in Germany and Switzerland but that is because we were treated like third class citizens and we were economically deprived from by Belgrade and had our human right stripped from us. Police would harass us for simple things such as daring to speak Albanian (instead of Serbian) in public. We had Albanian language TV and newspapers taken away from us, we were unable to be educated in Albanian. Then we had our autonomy taken away from us. Secret police would follow us, we were indiscrimatley locked up for reasons unknown to us. Unemployment and poverty became crazy. It was no fun being an Albanian in Kosova, but thankfully things are much better now. But our brothers are settled in Germany and Switzerland now and they understandably don't want to return.

Go ahead Ivica Dačić remove it, but remember that all churches in Kosova will be destroyd if you remove it. It's up to you, you remove it, we take care of the churches.
(Bridge, 21 November 2012 20:33)
You already have "taken care" of our churches and monesterys in Kosovo, there are a lot of videos on youtube showing how you set ancient churches on fire.

It is a memorial for those heroes who gave up their lives fighting against an oppressive regime where Albanians were treated as third class citizens and lacked basic human rights. Mini Sloba and his former Ultra-Nationalist friend want to return these dark times.
Also I wouldn't be surprised if Albanians went down to 0, nationalist Serbian governments are good at ethnic cleansing and making people "disappear".
(Haitian, 21 November 2012 19:33)
Its a memorial plaque celebrating terrorists that are now in prison, murderers and slaughterers. Its funny how the albanians want to celebrate these criminals by putting a memorial plaque on serbian territory, cant you see that its just a pittyful move to provoke the serbs?Albanians living in the Presevo valley are citizens of SERBIA and they should respect the country they live in just like your telling us that serbs living in croatia should respect croatia but when it comes to ur own people thats uncalled for right? And please keep your mouth shut about ethnic cleansing, take a look at the number of serbs living in Kosovo 1940-1990 and compare them to the numbers nowadays and then say something about ethnic cleasing.

What we are now? Well the majority of us are Athiests in reality. We might say we're Sunni Muslim, but we are not religious, we do not worship, we do not live our lives by Islam (we eat pork, we have sex outside of marriage and we drink alcohol) and we do not believe in God/ Allah.
I cannot put an exact figure on how many Christians there are in Kosova, but Catholicsm is on the rise big style whilst Sunni Islam is declining.
And yes we are building Mosques with money from Saudia Arabia and friends because they are trying to stop our form of relaxed Islam which is a threat to the rest of the Muslim world where they are very strict followers of Islam. They're scared of it catching on in their countries and they're trying to blaock it by encouraging stricter Islam in Kosova and Albania where we are very very very relaxed when it comes to religion. We're not die hard fanatical Jihadist Islamists which Milosevic style media/ propaganda would have you believe, we're the exact opposite.
Why did we damage Orthodox Churches? For the same reason Serbs damaged Mosques and Catholic Churches.

I would tell them, but I simply don't dare. If I were to head north of the Ibar I wouldn't feel safe and I would fear for my life. I think the wild west in the north should decide to either join the rest of Kosova or join with Serbia, instead of being in a limbo in between the two where criminal gangs are thriving and they divert money from both Belgrade and Pristina into their private banks. We don't have a problem with the Serbs south of the Ibar river, we like them just get on with our daily lives peacefully. It is the tax dodgers, criminals, gangs and cop killers in the north which we have problems with. You see ethnicity has nothing to do with it here either.

"I teach my children not to mistrust someone based on their ethnicity or religion......."
I also saw some of your previews comments and the way you climbed in the moral high ground i do not justify. Perhaps i can advise the teacher to head its own teachings once in while and yes learn history a little better while you are at it.
All symbols stem from somewhere and are much less mythical than they appear to be. The same goes for the history many learn to this day (i am to understand from your comment that you do not make an exception to this rule). Your knowledge about the Albanian flag is partially right. But then again you fail to understand the social construction of symbols and project the nowadays understanding in history (social constructivism IR, Social identity theory as well as to read better history books will probably help improve your understanding) while failing to acknowledge that orthodoxy itself is a social construction and is based upon myths as well. Whatever most people believe as rigid today are as relative as they can be and i am not necessarily being philosophical.

@ an european citizen
While i do see a valuable point in your comment the way it's expressed is hardly appropriate.
One must keep in mind that commentators here are mostly nationalists and narrow minded and do not represent the whole people of the Balkans, not the least because where you are born does not imply a common way of thinking.
You sir are a definition of irony and a dire example i might add. You who sees societies and cultures in this monolithic prism and stereotypical are making the same mistake as the ones you are judging. Instead of seeing yourself in the mirror with the ones you judge, are but holding it to their faces.
If you arrive at the right conclusion that your knowledge about the region is limited as are your understandings of societies as social constructions i do suggest to start with Maria Todorova - Imagining the Balkans.
In any case people here as every where else are hardly unique to their sufferings and conflicts or to their biased understanding of events. You are a living proof.
I do apologize for the harsh way i express myself but the ones who themselves swim in mud and still feel superior leave me a bad taste and force me into not so good manners. While i do not hide the hope that your hasting as mine, perhaps, is just a mistake of the heart and not the mind.

For the sake of an argument, even if UCPMB members were terrorists, that’s a silly comparison and you know it. 9/11 was a foreign attack on US soil, it was an attack on civilians. UCPMB attacked police and military which were run by a Serbian regime of the 90ties and early 2000s. They were and are citizens of Serbia and they were fighting against the regime organized by the Serbian gov’t against their own civilians just because they belong to a different ethnicity.

Albanian Flag is George Kastrioti's family flag.
Skanderbeg’s helmet is made of white metal, adorned with a strip dressed in gold. On its top lies the head of a horned goat made of bronze, also dressed in gold. The bottom part bears a copper strip adorned with a monogram separated by rosettes * IN * PE * RA * TO * RE * BT *, which means: Jhezus Nazarenus * Principi Emathie * Regi Albaniae * Terrori Osmanorum * Regi Epirotarum * Benedictat Te (Jesus Nazarene Blesses Thee [Skanderbeg], Prince of Mat, King of Albania, Terror of the Ottomans, King of Epirus).
