“Israel ready to expand Gaza operation”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that his country was prepared to "significantly expand" its military strikes on the Gaza Strip.

But the U.S. and the western governments are muted in their condemnation of Israel, and the U.S. usually speeds up shipping of bombs when the Israelis run low in the middle of these attacks. That's what happened with the Lebanon bombing in 2006.
