One of the most perrenial problems of any democracy is that Voters do not vote for honest politicians but for the politician that tells them what they want to hear. Hollande did just that in promising to reverse Sarko’s policies the voters didn't like ie increases in retirement age and cuts in social entitlements. It follows, either Hollande sticks to his left policies and sees the French economy totally collapse or he abandons his pledges, leaves his supporters in the gutter but collapse will only be delayed for the immediate or medium future.

However,Iam certainly not claiming that the problems now facing France five months into a Presidency is a failure of Hollande but I would certainly claim that the Euro crisis has probably moved closer to Eurozone’s dissolution than it was few months ago.The reason I am claiming the above is with France being, together with Germany, the EU’s main driving axis any financial crisis in France will probably signal the end of the EU in its present form.

Greece,Portugal,Ireland and Spain are being crucified to keep the Project going. I wonder if Hollande ever wakes up sweating.
