observer,

All money is created out of thin air. The British pounds, euros, dollars, yen, are all created by banks when needed.

My point is that this should be done by a state-owned bank and that the profits it generates should be used for the public good. Today only private banks create money out of thin air and use this for their private selfish gain.

I realise that the concept of creating money from nothing sounds wrong, but it is how we have been running our economies for the past 300 years, and it is about time the peoples of the world understood what is happening to them so that they can change things for the better.

“The German company has invested EUR six million in the opening of the new plant in Zrenjanin, which will employ 806 people.

The investment was "backed with EUR 5,000 for each new job, through a SIEPA's program encouraging direct investments"”

The Germans invest 6 million euros and are given another 4 million by the debt-ridden Serbian government. What madness.

Serbia should open a state investment bank and deposit the 4 million euros in it. Under international banking regulations it would be possible to create another 40 million euros out of thin air using the principle of “fractional reserve” lending.

This is all perfectly legal and is what every private bank does in the West.

The government could then “borrow” this 40 million euros at zero percent interest from its own bank and use the money to pay for infrastructure projects which would a) employ thousands of unemployed workers, and b) improve the infrastructure of the country.

If the Serbian government could learn the bankers game, then Serbia would quickly return to full employment and prosperity.
