No, Ian, you are not to blame for anything and you haven't done anything evil. It's the camps that you so vigorously
represent and defend on this forum that I was referring to.

Ian, really, to think that you have the power to disappoint someone when it comes to God is really laughable.
You really do think highly of yourself don't you?

"And another thing, I wasn't diverting attention, I was drawing comparisons to another much bigger child sex scandal".
I know Ian, that's what prompted me to comment.

Albanian logic: Two wrongs make a right and anything else that's not pro Albanian is "propaganda".

Seek humility first.

What camps? What camp do I represent? You shouldn't so loosely group people together.

I'm not trying to justify anything. I condemn both sex scandals.

And that Albanian logic seems very similar to Serbian logic, perhaps it should be called Balkan logic?

The good Lord loves the repentant sinner more than the self-righteous virgin.
So why are you always trying to justify or divert attention from YOUR evil by pointing the finger at someone else for theirs? Isn't it clear to you how patently childish your actions are?
You can take the Albanian out of Albania and educate all you want, but you can never take that "Albanian
logic" out of an Albanian.
(Deacon Jones, 12 November 2012 16:56)

Please tell me what "evil" have I apparently done? Or are you somehow trying to insinuate that I am to blame for this as I pay a Licence Fee to the BBC?

Also I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there isn't a God.

And another thing, I wasn't diverting attention, I was drawing comparisons to another much bigger child sex scandal.

Also what does "Albanian logic" have to do with this?

Obviously none of this is good for the BBC, but the BBC looks like an innocent puppy in comparison to the Vatican/ Catholic Church's Child Sex Scandal.

"The level of glorification of celebrities in UK is pretty pathetic" - Spot on Leonidas.

The press give more media time to pointless idiots than real news. It results in people getting elevated beyond their status and gives them a licence to do what they want.

Unfortunately the Leveson enquiry can't extend to making the daily rags report proper news.

The BBC needs cleaning up, but is still a valuable organisation that provides a level of quality and intelligence that eclipses the likes of ITV and Murdoch's seedy empire.

The BBC did shoot themsleves in the foot by pulling that Newsnight programme, but it is understandable considering how serious these concerns were and they wanted to make sure they had it 100% right before airing it the programme. The problem is that back in the 70s and 80s, Jimmy Saville was considered a God in the media world, he had too much power and influence and was therefore untouchable and able to get away with what he did. At least they're acting on it now, but it is too late. The problem now is how are we supposed to know which of these victims are legitimate and which are fakes trying to earn some cash?

And of course Rupert Murdoch is loving every second of it as it has got his dodgy dealings out of the spotlight as attention has now been shifted from his lot to the BBC.

Newsnight shelved an earlier investigation into abuse claims against former BBC presenter Jimmy Savile".

The level of glorification of celebrities in UK is pretty pathetic. Knighthoods to corrupt politicians, clergymen, television presenters, and sports stars are given out like confetti. This gives them a huge amount of power - which they often abuse.

The media is also guilty by association and unwilling to ask how is it that celebrities like Saville got so powerful and influential.
How is it that Saville was given use of rooms in hospitals, schools. How he was appointed to head a task force. How he became friends with royalty and politicians. Any victim that made a complaint to the BBC,for example, was promptly thrown off their premises (physically and roughly).

The problem with governments is that they are, by their very nature, narcissists which makes them extremely vulnerable to the type of manipulation that highly intelligent sociopaths, like Saville, specialise in.
