as a sidenote, it doesn´t surprise at all that you are even wrong with your remarks about tennis and soccer as being english...

tennis is a french invention, if at all. and soccer or football, like the english call it too, has been played in china a few thousand years ago.

but...well, perhaps the illyrians have invented it, don´t you think so? =)

nevertheless, compliments to Mr. Đoković for a quite successful year!

Yes there is some truth that Tennis origniated in France but Tennis as we know it is due to England where we have played it for hundreds of years, with English Kings and Nobility popularising and developing the game. The rules of Tennis or Lawn Tennis were established in Birmingham in 1859. Tennis before that was a really different game.

Now to football (I hate the word "soccer" as we've been calling it football for over 1000 years). Yes in Ancient China and S.America they used to play games which resemble what we now call football, but their games by no means influenced the game which English peasants played 1000 years ago, the game was even outlawed 900 years ago. This is where the game orignated from and what developed into the Sheffield Rules in 1857, the rules that defined the game which is now played all over the world. Also it is the English and Scottish FAs which first governed the game we play and watch today.

And yes compliments to Dokovic, he is an out stand player. I wish Murray was as good as him!

Who the hell is Rita Ora and why am i reading about her in an article about Novak Djokovic being world's number one in tennis? Those albanian trolls should get a life as well as their own site.
(thanasis, 6 November 2012 12:38)

Because on an article about Novak Djokovic being the world's number one at tennis, someone felt the need to bring up Kosova, being Albanophobic and just generally having a go at Albanians. Not even related to the article in the slightest. So I ask, who is the real troll here?

Jovan

@Haitian:

perhaps someone brought up KiM in order to remind you Albanians that you are not really successful in cultivated occupations like sports or science. but usually it is you Albanians who are attracting negative attention as trolls, not only here. also as criminals in the real world. sad but true, Haitian!

The only reason that Rita Ora has any success is because of how westernised she is, the west gave her fame. To say that Kosovo has music is absurd just because ONE woman of albanian ethnicity has become famous, Kosovo has nothing when it comes to achievements. Serbia on the other hand has produced a number of highly ranking tennis players, and a much bigger number of highly successful sportsmen in general, lets not forget Nikola Tesla when discussing achievements. What is more important is Novak Djokovic's great efforts to become world number one once again, and what makes it all the much better is his passion for the defence of Kosovo as the Serbian heartland and his strong opposition to albanian terrorist occupation.
(SCP UK, 5 November 2012 20:41)

And Serbs aren't western for playing sports? Tennis and Soccer are English sports yet Serbs love them. This is just Serbs absorbing Western culture!

Also Djokovic mixing politics with sports is not a good thing. Politics ruins sports! Nothing to be proud of!

Kosovo has the biggest achievement of all. Showing the world how to stand up to a bully!

Dude! You don't have anything! You suck at everything exept stealing territorry that doesn't belong to you, and drugtrafficing, and humantrafficing, and organ harvesting, and terrorizing your neighbors, and vanalizing graveyards, and burning churches etc... Don't worry, it is already noted in that section. I'm just curious what is the main drive behind that. It is not uncommon that nations have certain rivalries, e.g. Germans and Dutch fight in soccer. But for Serbs it is all-out-war with the Albanians, no matter where. That is odd. It can only be explained with relentless fascination and passionate emotions.

If tennis makes you happy, so be it. I'm sure that being number one there is an outstanding achievement. Yet, I could hardly care less. Seriously..
