There are more Croatians outside of Croatia than in it, that is because of the exodus of Croats in 1945 when the world once again ignored a nations right to self determination and freedom, allowing Stalin's puppet to set up a totalitarian regime which would force out another few hundred thousand Croats in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Croats abroad even then did not cower and Thompson has never sung anywhere with a U on a beret (I like Thompson and I like the U) - aside from that, how did Sljivancanin and other serb imperialists only get 10 year sentences for Vukovar and their attacking of a democratically created and internationally recognized state? The Serb apologists want to ignore one undisputable fact - since someone down there is talking facts - and it is that Serbia invaded Slovenia, invaded Croatia, invaded Bosnia & Herzegovina, invaded Kosovo (and would again today if the EU wasn't stopping them) but would like to point out that "everyone did bad things, lets get over it" - no thanks. That's not how the Rule of Law functions. Croatia defended itself from an aggressing foreign military - did individuals take matters into their own hands at time? Yes, they should be tried. However, General Ante Gotovina is a professional soldier, and his boys legitimately hit 95 percent during storm (pretty damn good if you ask me).

Thompson will continue to sing in Knin with a black shirt and the letter U on his beret because we love who we are. Long live patriotism.

Then why are you cowering in the United States? Go back to Croatia and shout your idiotic NDH slogans along with all the other clueless expats.

Now lets compare Vukovar to Knin. Vukovar was blown to oblivion by the uneducated JNA & Seseljs men with thousands massacred. Yet those responsible get sentences between 5-10 years. In Knin a dozen homes get hit and the Hague calls that a joint criminal enterprise. The whole Hague tribunal is so political its not funny. The one thing that we all know a is that the Croatian flag will fly high in Krajina for the next 1000 years....and yes Thompson will continue to sing in Knin with a black shirt and the letter U on his beret because we love who we are. Long live patriotism.

I'm sure the verdict will sound something like this:

"Dear Croatian revisionists. The bastard's guilty. He's a war criminal, not a national hero. Please refrain from any further attempts at reversing indisputable facts. For your own mental health, please refrain from any Thompson concerts, empty HDZ-inspired rallying cries, or over the top displays of your šahovnica. Now attend to more important matters. Thank you."

The prosecution's chances haven't looked good since the judges asked - at the end of witness testimony - if there was anything else the generals could be charged with if they can't be found guilty of the indiscriminate shelling they were being retried for. Defendants are not simply found "guilty in general" they have to be found guilty of particular acts, the ones they are formally charged with.

"At an appeal hearing held in May 2012, Gotovina’s defense attorneys claimed that the shelling was a legitimate, “highly professional” attack on military targets and that 95 percent of 1,200 artillery missiles fired by the Croat forces hit military targets in the four towns."

Exactly something the americans would say. They should know because they organized it all and have successfully kept Gotovina and co. to keep their mouth sshut about american complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity.
