Look what happens in Albania, sell the company to foreigners then try to rip them off as the Czech CEZ company has had to face (via BI):

Would they have done that to the turks though?

"Russia should have invested in Kosova instead! Bigger profit potential by far, good potential for building and bridging relationships."

Yes, in Kosovo, Putin and Thaci could have arranged a nice profit of 10-20% for each of them, payed annually to their personal bank accounts.

"If the oil price would be only half or less, like years ago, Russia would get bankrupt in a couple of years, because their economy only depends on exports of energy resources, like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia."

How ignorant. I guess it beats thinking by just repeating what others say.

"During the ceremony, Dačić said NIS' success was all the greater given that the company had managed to pull off a half a billion euros investment in times of economic crisis."

Oh, surprise, surprise, maybe someone should have told him that oil/gas companies are more or less immune against economic crises, they benefit from the high energy prices. With a $100/barrel for crude oil, Gazprom(and Russia) earned billions of $$. If the oil price would be only half or less, like years ago, Russia would get bankrupt in a couple of years, because their economy only depends on exports of energy resources, like Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia.

"The president also congratulated all those who worked on the project, and said that they should now "be ready", as Serbia would have "many similar projects in the future". "

Anyway, congratulations on a successful project, but I don't see which 'similar project' should follow, except for South Stream in case it should be realized one fine day. As mention above, oil and gas is the only field in which Russia is powerful, globally.

The company, that employs citizens of both countries, is increasing its profits steadily, increasing its payments toward the Serbian budget, and is ready to conquer new markets in the Balkan region.

Now that is an important statement just there. Both Russia and China are ready to conquer the Balkan region and what better way to do it than through friendly Serbia. Serbia is not a large country so it can be built as a shining beacon of global change, where both Russia and China become more dominant.

I'm sure now that Serbia will be exporting fuel to third class EU members Romania and Bulgaria, they will start taking notice. Becoming a first class member of an expanding Russo-China power will have far more benefits than a collapsing EU. Baby steps for now but it is heading in the right direction.

BTW, I'm sure we are all aware that Pristina sold "their" energy company to the Turks for a mere €26 mil. Check -> http://rt.com/news/kosovo-protests-energy-sell-off-672 So lets see how Turks compete with Russians. LOL!

A long time ago I suggested that Serbia should sell this company either to Russia or to Norway but to retain a 51% controlling interest. I hope the Russians dont disappoint.
