That is what you Brits thought 1945-1948 in Palestine when you joined other Muslims to surpress the Jews, and than they kicked your sorrow British butts out of Israel!
Sooner or later that is going to happen in Balkans ,too, when you will be crying and moaning about Serbian settlements and the poor, poor Albanians like you whine today with Israel who doesn`t give a crap about what you say...

And if you think the Serbian military is just going to take Kosovo by force then you're deluded. I know your politicians might have a Mediaeval mentality both religiously and poltically, but this isn't the Middles Ages where you can just invade and conquer land. Besides Serbia will not be hostile towards KFOR/ NATO. Serbia would never do that, not in a month of Sundays!

Now stop fantasising.

if one of these uniformed clowns tried to stop me he would lose his teeth.

I think the serb military should be geared up, with half a billion euros transit charges per year from the south-stream pipeline there will be some money left to prepare for all eventualities. and our Albanians truly need a slap on their wrists.

they badly need their slap.

Won't Serbia need that money to service off the interest from their huge mounting debts?

Serbia Democratic? There is no choice, which which right wing Kosovo haters do you want to vote for? These or These? All pretty much the same. I'm sorry but citizens in Serbia do not get an equal say. Ask yourself which parts of the country were allowed to vote on the Constitution Referendum.

Yes Serbia does arrest people... when it has to! And even then it is all for show. It is well known that Serbia has been sheltering War Criminals and has been using them as bargaining chips and only giving them up when there is something greater to gain, ie the EU. But had Tomislav Nikolić been in power since 2008, Ratko Mladić and Dr Karadžić would still be in hiding now with the assistance of the Serbian Government.

No modern, democratic European state has ever produced a constitution by denying the right to vote for it to 20% of what it calls its citizens.

Serbia is as backward as Ottoman Turkey. Serbia is still living with the obsession of land conquest and territorial expansion. You needn't go any further than this site to be hit with the stench of this mentality. And this is supposed to be the most progressive face of Serbia.
Serbia still needs to produce an Ataturk to take Serbia from the age of obscurantism and past colonialism into the modern word. Until then, the empty words of self-serving propaganda won't impress anyone.

You should be carefull not to criticize anything that you know so little about, but you are free to belive whatever you like its not up to me to educate you. Its evident though that not only you have no clue about Kosovo but obviously you got your head buried in the sand even when it comes to your own country. If serbia was as you described it then Serbia would have a free path to EU but see that is not the case hence the reforms EU is demanding. EU is not on Serbias case just because of Kosovo.

"Why would the kla that runs Kosovo be waiting for documents from Serbia when the Serbs live in the independent nation of Kosovo? Lol!!
(Brian, 1 November 2012 18:35) "

What's so funny? The documents (proof of ownership?) were originally issued by the Serbian government and they are the only ones who can verify that the papers now being submitted are authentic. With all the smuggling that goes on in every direction, checking that the documents people are providing to request re-registration are good only makes sense - remember, the Serbs cleaned out the official files when they left Kosovo, so there's simply nothing left for the Prishtina government to check from before 1999. At least Kosovo is getting the information from the property registers back. (Turkey still holds the records from their centuries in the Balkans, so getting the physical documents back from Serbia may not be possible, either.)

Nori, your irony is totally misplaced! why would Serbia not be the pride of Europe? we owe a huge lot to the country and Serbian people... and yes, as mentioned by another commentator, you cannot compare a decently functioning democracy with a mafia run war zone, where people are sold daily in full and in pieces, so the laugh is very much on you!!

In an article at http://www.radiokim.net/vesti/rasic-cekamo-odgovor-o-ispravnosti-dokumenata.html on why Serbs are still waiting for license plates a Serb official in Kosovo says that the holdup is because the Serbian MUP has not yet responded to requests from the Kosovo authorities for validation of the documents that Kosovo Serbs have submitted. Maybe it would have been better for the Kosovo Police to have told people to obtain the documents themselves from Serbia, although that would make fraud easier.

I take it for granted that the effected serbs have done whats expected of them in order to get the licence plates and that this is not just another groundless complaint from the serb society in Kosovo, if so then there is absolutely no excuse for this utter failure, fire the responsible people asap and replace them new ones that can do their job!

The Albanian-run government in Kosovo can't even figure out how to issue license plates efficiently and in a timely manner, how does anyone think they can oversee a European country in the modern era? Is it any surprise that Serbs don't want to live under such a backward regime?

"Several thousands of Serbs from the Kosovsko Pomoravlje District applied for KS license plates in June but they still have not received them.

The change of license plates and drivers’ licenses is envisaged by the agreement on the freedom of movement reached by Belgrade and Priština in Brussels."

What a big step for the 'freedom of movement' it is. Like selling rifles and guns to people in the name of peace, love and order.
