I agree, ALL of kosovo i metohija need to return to the fold of Serbia when this experiment ends.

Well it might not be considered a good option, but it is the only realistic option.

European Commission Director-General for Enlargement Stefano Sannino says that a partition of Kosovo "would not be a good solution".

This might be true, but the creation of Kosovo was an even worse solution and lead us to the mess we have today.

So let me get this straight, albanians, where ever they may live, should be able to unite and take territory that currently belongs to other, and create a greater Albania, while others, serbs, croats and muslims shouldn't? Of course it is not a good solution! Why would Kosova be partitioned? There is 97-98% Albanian majority! It would make no sense to partition a country because of a 2-3% minority,in this case a Serb minority! The only solution that does make sense, and would provide long term stability to the Balkan region, would be a annexation of the presevo valley currently under, de-facto Serbian occupation! This area has a majority Albanian population which would like to re-adjoin to the republic of Kosova where it's natural albanian setting has been established for 1000s of years! In-order to provide stability to the Balkan region, which is desperately needed, all areas that are majority Albanian inhabited should be allowed to fuse into one natural Albanian geographical entity! The Albanian population in the Balkans have a excellent track record that spans many 100s of years, proving that they are not a people of seeking aggressive ambitions towards any of its neighboring country's! I think as time goes by, all the major powers will realize that this will inevitably have to come to a realization in order to secure a long term solution for the Balkan region of southeast Europe!

But what is being done to make Serbs of north Kosovo stop being citizens of Serbia and start being citizens of Kosovo? What is thaci doing? What is Hillary doing? What is the ec doing? How are they making Serbs of north Kosovo renounce All ties to Serbia and Belgrade??

That looks very professional, just two days after Ashton was in belgrade, to ask a lower rank "for help". Pssibly the EU can send some drivers and window-cleaners to Belgrade for high-rank talks, and having some good dinners. For many years the EU will not increase the number of its members. You can see what is going on in London with EU. Possibly Serbia will comes to late.

Of course it would not be a good option to the West. Methinks they could only fish in troubled waters. Should the day comes when Serbia and the Albanians resolve their dispute, the West would lose their leverage and ability to play one party off against the other.

Whos asking Serbs to renounce Belgrade? Every Serb in Kosovo/a can have dual citizenship! Actually it would be to their advantage and not a disadvantage! I don't understand why the politicians don't capitalize on this bc by having dual nationals Serbia could protect its citizens by applying pressure on Prishtina to obey the laws in place!

MikeC, sorry bud! But I think you are the one on some kind if mind altering substance! What you are calling a greater Albania, is in fact a natural Albania! If any entity was trying to create greate anything, it was Serbia experimenting with the idea! Look at the Frankenstein experiment in Bosnia? Where your political & military leaders exterminated 150,000-250,000 mostly unarmed civilians! For what to create, republica Serpska! Look at what you Serbs did in Vukovare, Croatia? Serbian policies butchered 35-45,000! For what? The world witnessed for itself, the Serbs chanting & calling for a greater Serbia! And these lands where Albanians inhabit, the same Serbian policies were attempted but failed miserably! You Serbs should consider yourselves very lucky,we Albos are unifying by peaceful means! If it was up to me, the west would have armed us Albanians to the equall military status of Serbia, and then let us fight it out, to truly see (••) to whom Kosova really belongs too!

Sorry Rock but albanians don't have a military history. You are largely peasants and onable to fight. The world saw your "fighting skills" in Kosovo. Serbs retook the 3 km safety zone surrounding Kosovo in hours. If the west would allow us you be back in Tirana tending your livestock. However, I know your way of thinking. You know the west is never going to arm you and you know there won't be any war any time soon, so make any rediculous statement you like. Deep down inside you know who the big bad wolf is in the neighbourhood.

he´d love to be like "Rocky", I am sure. but I´m afraid, the Albanians are indeed not known for being good fighters, so Rocky should not wish for something that could haunt him and his fellow Albanians some day in the future.

and what Rocky should not forget: The Serbs are BURNING to pay back...so you should think of alternatives to staying in southern Serbia.
