Patriarch: Talks possible only in line with canons

Serbian Patriarch Irinej says the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) "will joyfully accept the talks with non-canonical Macedonian Orthodox Church (MPC)".

So? Why is this news? If all nations have autonomous churches named after their nation why can't Macedonians? Greeks have greek Orthodox church, Albanians have Albanian Orthodox Church etc. Give them their own church. Same with Montenegrins. Serb Church is for Serbs not Macedonians or Montenegrins. Easy.
