Refugees on hunger strike in downtown Berlin

Some 20 refugees who participated in the 600-kilometer-long march from Wurzburg to Berlin and now on a hunger strike in front of the Brandenburg Gate.

The concerns of the refugees are very understandable, but Germany's main focus must ben an improvement of the situation of their home countries. In particular, Serbia must treat its Roma population better than it does at the moment.

Here in Germany, we now even have a monument for the remembrance of the Nazi genocide against the Roma. We fully accept our historic guilt.
