Poll: 48% in favor of EU membership, 33% against

Allow me to conduct a poll in Israel and I’ll get at least 50% saying that Hitler was not that bad.
What have these people been smoking? Several major polls conducted over the last 6 months have clearly shown that up to 70% of Serbs are against joining the EU.

Did you use all your fingers and toes when you were {counting}doing the poll?Man,you better lay off the slivo!

Much attention is being given to the polls that show decreasing interest in joining Europe. Is this supposed to be a threat? Please stop thinking and then acting as if Serbia was a super-power, the world sees you only as a poor Balkan country with a big ego that is proving harmful for Serbia.

48% in favour of joining on the condition that recognition of "Kosova"* is not a condition. If it were that number would fall to about 10%.

So we need to be prepared for EU trickery, like demanding recognition as part of membership in a referendum.

Dacic will be delighted that his private polls and advisors opinions have turned out to be correct. The attitude of objecting to meetings with Albanians has long gone and Dacic deserves credit for recognising this politically. Tadic deserves condemnation for being too cowardly and cautious for being scared of being accused of selling out. Tadic by the way was never a skilled political operator in leading the public to a political agenda, rather he would follow in a somewhat conservative fashion.

As far as Dacic and the EU is concerned I expect this poll will be pointed to as evidence that his contrary position on the EU is working - ie there are almost equal numbers of enthusiasts and skeptics out there so he will continue to court them, at the same time.

His model is probably Milosevic in early 90's Jugolsavija, in one speech it seems as if he was supporting Jugoslavija and singing its praises. However, in another speech a few days later Milosevic would point to the historic injustices to the Serbian people being in Jugoslavija.

I speak from experience not just making an idle statement, but as they say a fool and his money are easily parted and when they offer you those magic beans you take them.
