When Vojvodina was part of the Ottoman empire it also had a majority Serbian (Muslim) population, of course the Muslims were forced to leave when Austria reconquered the region.
Hungary has ruled Vojvodina in the past but Serbs always lived there, Croats lived in Slavonia and Vlachs in Banat and Hungarians were always a tiny minority excluding the 19th C Hungarian colonists. however even most Hungarians 90% are probably ex Serbs/Croat/Slovak/Vlach/German!!
