@Ida - Unfortunately, this liberation brought in the Tito communists who massacred 100,000 Serbs at the end and after the war. They also confiscated the property from many Serbs, particularly the wealthy, for themselves. Then Tito proceeded to eventually weaken Serbia while strengthening the other republics, allow illegal immigration of Albanians into Kosovo, atheist communist creation of the "Orthodox Macedonian Church", and a host of other ills that help set the stage for future separatism. Tito never expected Yugoslavia to last after his death anyway.

Is this the reason why thousands of Serbs continue to visit Tito's tomb on a daily basis crying that their beloved Tito is no more. The Serbs loved this guy more then their own parents. He wouldn't be lying in his polished tomb in central Beograd if the Serbs didn't love him.

Noted here is the absence of representatives from other Allied countries - US, France, Great Britain. It seems they don't really want to recognise Serbia was on the same side with them during WWII.

I doubt the Serb education system is teaching its youngsters that when the Serbs liberated Beograd it not only defeated the Nazi's but Serbian forces under Serb General Milan Nedic...

Freedom should be respected, as well as those who have helped us to achieve this freedom. Sometimes we forget those to whom we owe gratitude.

Vecnaja pamjat for our Russian, and other, brothers who fell to free us from occupation and misery. We should remember them and cherish and value our neutral, sovereign and independent nation. We should also do whatever we can to foster the tradition of brotherhood.

Thank goodness that the liberation was led by a Croatian Tito and 37 of the 80 partisan divisions were made of Croatians. Serbia would be again under occupation for 400 years like under Turks no need too thank us your welcome.

The day will come again when Serbs along with the help of their allies will liberate all occupied Serb lands as recognized by the majority of United Nations countries.
