EU High Representative Catherine Ashton, Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dačić and Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci held a joint meeting in Brussels on Friday.
Serbs should not keep wanting to get into the EU and betraying their people for EU's empty promises. Serbia should stay independent of the EU like Switzerland. Serbia should focus more on trade and relations with non-EU countries.

1991: 12% Serbian and 81% Albanian
1961: 23% Serbian and 62% Albanian
1953: 25% Serbian and 60%% Albanian
Plus have in mind that all Serbs who came to live in Kosovo after 1912 were expelled and were not allowed to live there again by the communists in the 1940s plus in WW2 200.000 Illegal Albanians settled in Kosovo.

It would be a safe bet that Ashton knows neither Albanian or Serbian and the dialogue was either in English or through translators.
If Dacic speaks about an historic agreement he doesnt know real historic dimensions which are analysed many years later as historic or not. Historic can only be a basic agreement about the so-called Albanian question. Such an agreement must include all relevant countries and also the Albanian population within Serbia. The time is working for the Albanians, their increasing population and influence. Dacic has held a useless meeting with the symbol, that he accept Taci as partner in an INTERNATIONAL framework. And this before the Serbs have discussed a common "plattform". This means that Dacic and Nikolic are totally ignoring the parliament in Belgrade. It is more and more for many Serbs a problem that their own state is also in sensitive security questions co-operationg with many Western countries. For these Serbs not a strange adminstration in Pristina is the enemy; for them the real enemy is the own government. Such a divided country can not have a real good future ahead of them. It is a failed state, where without need the leaders for their own creers are playing with the fate of a formerly respected naion.
Let me see if I understand this correctly. According to some Serbian commentators the meeting was a success for PM Dacic because he did not shake the hands.
I hope both sides can reach a deal and we can all get along with our lives. Both countries are poorer then any other EU country. With all due respect, PM Thaci held a news conference and was shown on prime time news in Kosova. He said that he met with Ivica and spoke to him(actually) , both spoke to each other through interpreters. At least Thaci is not hiding anything.But, you are right. Time will tell when we see the photo op when the meeting took place.

Later he says:"I think it is time for a historic agreement, and we are also ready for talks on (Kosovo's) final status."For Kosovo the meeting from today is great victory. How the Serbs can try to argue in Africa not to establish diplomatic relations with Kosovo and having top-meetings with the "great evil" and speaking (without having ONE real nebotiation about historic agreements. This comes if too little fat people are playing politicians, people who are proud that they know somebody i the village who has a PEN. Serbia with its fast shrinking population and huge areas with uranium munition and other waste, is on the way of a total capitulation. But the EU will not adopt Serbia before Kosovo and Albania. Ashton's plan was to 'take a break' during the meeting, which lasted almost an hour, leaving Dacic and Thaci alone.
Of course we don't know whether she had to arm twist to get them to speak directly, or whether it was unspoken.
Point is that none of us knows what the hell was discussed and both men will deny such a meeting too place - at least to begin with, Thaci will probably mention such a meeting sometime in the future.

The common view among 95% of Serbs are: we can't do anything about this injustice right now and God know's its not because of Albanians themselves but because of NATO-KROR. You are the least relevant player when it comes to the stability of Kosovo, and only serve as a determent to some sort of lasting agreement.
How long the West will be there is anybody's guess. They probably wont leave within next 5 years, but I refuse to share our friend Ian's conviction that NATO will in fact never, ever leave. But there is no real reason to guarantee something like that.
As for this meeting, (b92 calls it a meeting between the EU, Serbia "and Kosovo PMs"..that is biased and misleading. But Serbs wont make anything out of this meeting. Whenever the situation in the Balkans changes, no one will look to this meeting as a precedent of how to deal with criminals and violence coming out of the south.
Life is hard for Serbs right now. Of course its hard for everybody in the ex-Yugoslav space, but its not like they'll forget or are accepting illegal occupation. Timing=everything.

Dacic has helped Kosovo Albanians tremendously by meeting Thaci. Finally he helped them realize that Thaci is the worst thing that happened to Kosovo since Aleksandar Rankovic. He is a traitor and he just proved it by meeting Slobo Jr.

How the Serbs can try to argue in Africa not to establish diplomatic relations with Kosovo and having top-meetings with the "great evil" and speaking (without having ONE real nebotiation about historic agreements. This comes if too little fat people are playing politicians, people who are proud that they know somebody i the village who has a PEN. Serbia with its fast shrinking population and huge areas with uranium munition and other waste, is on the way of a total capitulation. But the EU will not adopt Serbia before Kosovo and Albania. And also these real friends of the Westhave no chance soon. Where is a real Serb politician of international format without private interests in the background? It can happen that Serbia must be rescued by NATO not become a failed state at all.
And this would be the end for the illusions of many brandy-drinking peasants with or without PEN.
Point is that none of us knows what the hell was discussed and both men will deny such a meeting too place - at least to begin with, Thaci will probably mention such a meeting sometime in the future.
Dacic had better hope he produces some results, because once Serbians finally realise he is talking through his hat there will be a lot of anger.

With all due respect, PM Thaci held a news conference and was shown on prime time news in Kosova. He said that he met with Ivica and spoke to him(actually) , both spoke to each other through interpreters. At least Thaci is not hiding anything.But, you are right. Time will tell when we see the photo op when the meeting took place.
What's the point, of meeting the lider of a state you don't recognise? For me, is a pure pointless political move and not coherent with official belgrade rhetoric
Ok, whatever Dacic said or did not say, time will prove, but according to B92 sources seems that only Dacic spoke and gave his messages, and Ashton and THaci stood with their mouth shot!
Thachi said that not only the brain but any other organ of Dacic is useless. So he let him go in one piece, no harm made to Dacic. Lol.

@Brady you are wrong, now in 2012 6% Serb and 92% Albanian live in Kosovo
1991: 12% Serbian and 81% Albanian
1961: 23% Serbian and 62% Albanian
1953: 25% Serbian and 60%% Albanian
Plus have in mind that all Serbs who came to live in Kosovo after 1912 were expelled and were not allowed to live there again by the communists in the 1940s plus in WW2 200.000 Illegal Albanians settled in Kosovo.
And yea now you talk about that 6% and 92% thing but look how that came to be. Serbs were ruling their own land but it was unfortunate that less and less Serbs were allowed to live there and Albanians had all the freedom you could get in Yugoslav Kosovo..
So Dacic meets with Thaci under the 'supervision' of Ashton? Well, not a huge deal - except that Dacic has been pretending to sound 'patriotic' on the Kosovo issue. Doesn't sound too patriotic meeting with a suspected war criminal in Serbian eyes at least.
But that's only half the story, its not only Kosovo Albanian media that is reporting that Dacic and Thaci will meet privately, although not in the way the Albanian media (might be, I don't know) presenting it. Ashton's plan was to 'take a break' during the meeting, which lasted almost an hour, leaving Dacic and Thaci alone.
Of course we don't know whether she had to arm twist to get them to speak directly, or whether it was unspoken.

Taci and Dacic will meet again and we all should stop the speculations on who what or what is what we all no what is what and who is what, so just stop for a moment and listen!! this will be historical and i hope albanians and serbian in serbia can work together, in the end they will be left without russia america eu and so on and then they i promisse they will have to work close together like never before. If Dacic speaks about an historic agreement he doesnt know real historic dimensions which are analysed many years later as historic or not. Historic can only be a basic agreement about the so-called Albanian question. Such an agreement must include all relevant countries and also the Albanian population within Serbia. The time is working for the Albanians, their increasing population and influence. Dacic has held a useless meeting with the symbol, that he accept Taci as partner in an INTERNATIONAL framework. And this before the Serbs have discussed a common "plattform". This means that Dacic and Nikolic are totally ignoring the parliament in Belgrade. It is more and more for many Serbs a problem that their own state is also in sensitive security questions co-operationg with many Western countries. For these Serbs not a strange adminstration in Pristina is the enemy; for them the real enemy is the own government. Such a divided country can not have a real good future ahead of them. It is a failed state, where without need the leaders for their own creers are playing with the fate of a formerly respected naion.
Serbs should not keep wanting to get into the EU and betraying their people for EU's empty promises. Serbia should stay independent of the EU like Switzerland. Serbia should focus more on trade and relations with non-EU countries.
I hope both sides can reach a deal and we can all get along with our lives. Both countries are poorer then any other EU country. Kosovo has moved on, it's a fact...there was a war there and war changes things. There were 6% Serb population ruling over the 92% Albanians (I.e. taking their jobs, kicking them out of their build school)...was that fair to Albanian's?.. It depends in what country you were living in?
Let me see if I understand this correctly. According to some Serbian commentators the meeting was a success for PM Dacic because he did not shake the hands.
Just wondering. I know both know Serbian fairly well but I'm pretty sure Dacic doesn't know Albanian. So I'm just wondering, what language did they both communicate in?

It would be a safe bet that Ashton knows neither Albanian or Serbian and the dialogue was either in English or through translators.

The only way for these traitorous deeds to be accepted by the likes of Ari Gold and Zoran is for them to be done by the likes of "patriotic" and "nationalist" governments like Ivica's. Tadic's defeat was the best thing that could happen for Kosovo :)
