Ever since these "talks" the violence has increased upon Serbs in Kosovo and there's been more pressure on them. It hasn't even done Serbia a lick of good and in fact ends up making it look worse.

When it comes to the issue of status of Kosovo, the Office for Kosovo director pointed out that there was no uniform policy in place in Brussels in that respect, since five EU member states had not recognized its independence.

You, oh little Alexander the not so great, you will be a big part of the solution that will open the doors for the remaining 5 within the EU, to officially recognize Kosova! Mark my words, it won't be to much longer before this finally happens.. Oh and one more thing, the EU is status neutral! They are just mediating between 2 independent states! Where on earth have you been?

I don't understand why Beograd is now trying to punish honest Kosovars who are receiving double wages from either government. You know those Serbs aren't living in heaven, we're in the midst of one of the harshest world economic downturns. Shame on you serbia.

1244 stipulates that Kosovo is a province of Serbia administered by the UN. However 1244 is not meant to be permanent and contains a clause for further negotiation of Kosovo's status. You cannot have status neutral talks on status, nor can 1244 be in effect in perpetuity. Neither side plays by the rules and it's unfair to keep residents in limbo. Keeps eyes off the economic troubles of both, I suppose.

Serbia, by apparently insisting on respect for its constitution (which that Kosova is a part of it) is not being status neutral either.

"status neutral"? sure the Albanians are status neutral and the EU too with its pressure to recognize Kosovo, only Serbia is "status neutral" with its changing politics....in Germany every year is proclaimed the "non-word" of the year...but nobody can beat Serbia in this category with "status neutral"
