Northern Kosovo officials against IBM agreement

Councilors of four Serb municipalities in northern Kosovo have concluded that the technical agreement on "integrated border management (IBM)" was unacceptable.

"At the session, they concluded the agreements reached by Belgrade and Priština were detrimental to Serbian national interests and the position of Serbs in northern Kosovo, and expressed support for the initiative that the constitutionality of the agreements from Brussels be reviewed before they are implemented."

Well, what is or is not in Serbia's national interest is determined by the government elected by the Serbian people. But, I agree that it may not be in the interest of Serbs in northern Kosovo... But there is nothing wrong with that - not everything a government does will be in the interest of 100% of the people. Serbs in North Kosovo are just 2% of the Serbian electorate so they can't expect anybody to care for them :)

This is a good one, since Serbs till now they were calling it "Integrated Administrative crossing". Glad to read the original version.

Well, what is or is not in Serbia's national interest is determined by the government elected by the Serbian people. But, I agree that it may not be in the interest of Serbs in northern Kosovo... But there is nothing wrong with that - not everything a government does will be in the interest of 100% of the people. Serbs in North Kosovo are just 2% of the Serbian electorate so they can't expect anybody to care for them :)
