Since this article pertains to racism I have a question that's more directed to Serbs so here goes...

When I at least twice made statements on b92 regarding black people (especially black Americans) addressing each other in some movies and I should have mentioned also in real life as "n****rs" but "frowning upon" non-blacks saying it (I imagine especially if we're referring to white people) so therefore let's suppose that if those whom that say 'n' word to one another are asked why they be offended if Serbs say it where they'd reply something "Serbian people are non-black (or they're white) so that's why we'd be offended if they say the 'n' word" so the question is would most Serbs understand that as non-black people they can't say 'n' word or would most Serbs regard that as double-standard? I'd really want to find out.

I have friends in Serbia closer than some of my family. I love Serbia and Serbian people but today one of my colleagues in work asked why I keep going to such a backward country full of bigots? And I'm afraid until the Serbian government stamp out racism, homophobia and football violence that is image that people will get. Heck, it's like going back to 1970 in Britain!

Denial should have been a river in Serbia.

"We lie to deceive ourselves, to console others, we lie for mercy, we lie to fight fear, to encourage ourselves, to hide our and somebody else's misery. We lie for love and honesty. We lie because of freedom. Lying is a trait of our patriotism and the proof of our innate intelligence. We lie creatively, imaginatively and inventively" - Dobrica Cosic

I DON’T understand the “Poor Comments” that my post received.
All I said was “copy and paste” from B92 article.

If you honestly think for one second the “poor comments” actually should be addressed to the fans who used racial language or to the Serbian Team Captain who made those statements.

I have no doubt that receiving “poor comments” it has to do with my name “ALB_MCSE” because that will be racist would it?

Then I’m sure that Serbian FSS will start internal disciplinary proceedings to punish the culprits end racial discrimination on B92 site as well.
Are all the Serbs so confused these days or just people on this site?

So, to summarise... black people always play the race card, football fans are all thick, the British government sent agents to the game to cause trouble and make the Serbs look bad.Does the B in B92 stand for bigot, brainwashed or barking mad?

(Sharpie from Scotland, 17 October 2012 17:40)

I agree. The thugs should be punished with jail sentences however the point is these specific people (who were a small minority inside the stadium) do not represent the view of most Serbs. Thank you for supporting Serbia, you are right to do so and Serbs greatly appreciate anyone who doesn't have an interest to villainize an entire nationality because of a few morons.

Hey - this match was an Under 21 game... So why was Danny Rose (24 years old) and Chinedum "Nedum" Onuoha (25 years old) even allowed on the pitch...??? FIFA should be told...!!! I reckon England are settoing up a smokescreen to cover-up the fact that thay're fielding players who are TOO OLD for UNDER 21 match..!!!
(John Jay, 17 October 2012 19:05)

You obviously know nothing about football.

Nedum Onuoha hasn't played for the Under 21s since the 2008-2009 season. The only reason Onuoha is in the spotlight here is because he was racially abused by Serbian fans in 2007 and the Serbian FA was consequently fined for it. Secondly Danny Rose is 22 not 24.

They eligibility criteria for Under 21 national teams are players who are 21 or younger on the first day of the season. Danny Rose was 21 at the beginning of the season therefore he qualifies for the Under 21 National Team. This is why 22 year old Darko Lazovic qualifies for the Serbia Under 21 National team.

Fielding over-age players isn't the issue here, racism, violence and hooliganism is the issue at hand; denial from the Serbian FA and silly comments like yours is the real smokescreen/ cover-up.

I could only see from the Video I saw that the only one who scathed his side like a monkey was the Danny Rose, and the Video is Titled: Danny Rose subjected to monkey chants from Serbia crowd at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/england/9614069/Englands-Danny-Rose-subjected-to-monkey-chants-from-Serbia-crowd.html .

It would not surprise me in the slightest, if this was totally rehearsed and stage managed, and if there is evidence of even one fan scratching his side like a monkey, then it would have been replayed over and over again.

What is to say that it was a Serb, or if it was a Serb who works for MI6, and while we saw Coloured People from the British Colonies working in Britain, why do they not speak of the Compensation Britain owes it Colonies, or does their Employment Vetting and Salaries make them silent on these mattes?

The only sensible thing to do is to doubt anything that comes from Britain and America as the Intelligent Default position.

After that, the statement must be, that you must prove it to me you lying, scheming, and untrustworthy Anglo-Americans.

"And while most of the English players were celebrating the goal, their player with number 3 on his back, Danny Rose, made highly inappropriate, unsportsmanlike and vulgar gestures directed at the fans in the stands of the stadium in Krusevac, which is why he received a red card. It turns out, unfortunately, that was when the incident started and then unfolded," the release says."

So the Serbian FA are saying there was no racism.

And then they explicitly blame a black English player for starting "the trouble".

From the shelling of Vukovar, Dubrovnik and Sarajevo through to massacres at Srebrenica and Kosovo, from the assasination of Djindjic to the repeated bans of the gay pride parade - all these are symptomatic of the kind of dark forces at play in Serbia which the authorities repeatedly chose to deny rather than confront.

It isn't the first time either. Nedum Onuoha was racially abused by Serbian fans back in 2007. Then there was the incident with Italy not so long ago.

Serbia blatantly has a problem with football hooliganism and the Serbian FA was already on a warning from UEFA. Repeat offending deserves a ban from all competitions until the fans and players/ staff can control themselves.

Andrija Milutinovic should be charged with common assault for that head-but. The Serbian players who through punches and manhandled English players and staff, deserve match bans. The police should identify and bring to justice those who threw coins, stones, concrete blocks and chairs at players. Those who are found to be racist chanting should have been removed from the stadium and banned.

At least Dejan Govedarica and Savo Milosevic have some respect.

I just feel sorry for the fans who went and were well behaved.

Black people do play the race card, but it is understandable. In Britain and the rest of the civilised West, black people are treated as third-class citizens. I live in London and have several black friends; they are clever and more able than me, but they rarely get the chance to prove themselves. Only in music and sport are blacks allowed to excel.

Football fans the world over are usually poorly educated and lacking in social skills. It wouldn't surprise me if a few Serbian idiots were rude to British black players. It would also not surprise me if British M15 agents sent agent provocateurs to discredit Serbia.
