A Bos Catholic may like to call themselves Croatian but a Croat will always see them as Bosanac.

That's too bad for the Croats from Bosnia. We Serbs, only see ourselves as Serbs regardless of where we come from.

I have a feeling that Serbs and Croats in Bosnia are going to reach common ground and Bosnia as we know it now will cease to exist.

A Bosnian is someone who lives in Bosnia as a rightful inhabitant of the area described and accepted as Bosnia. The borders of BiH have long been a historical reality as endorsed by its neighbours and their incursions across the border further defining the territorial perimeters as well as the various imperial overlords from the east and the west.

BiH has a heterogeneous mix of religions from converted by decree Catholics and Orthodox as well as converted by choice Moslems. A historical irony being many Vlachs and Romanians through the Orthodox conversions ended up as 'Serbs' through the national identity definitions of the 19th and early 20th c. They may differ in religious practice but share many of the same cultural aesthetics and identification with their environment. They lived under a variety of overarching governing bodies from Dukedoms to Central Committees and now the bizarre tripartite executive of a body of elected district representatives.

Rabid Croatian Herzegovina nationalist with democratic in front that goes for Dodik Serbs also. Don't the North Korean have also peoples Democratic party lol so pathetic. Croatian Hezergovinians that produced Pavelic and Susak getting together with Banjan Lukan Bosnian Serbs. That produced guru war criminal Karadzic and Ratko too destroy Bosnia again. In the end they will turn on each other too destroy each other good riddance. Bosnia to be demilitarized ya sure so the citizens of Bosnia can't fight back.

Some say Bosnian Muslims are really Croats who converted to Islam.
(Hans, 17 October 2012 08:20)
I don’t think especially after the Croats tried their hand a stabbing their brothers in the back in the middle of the war. Bosniaks would not agree to being described as Croats at all – their Croatians killed and some burned alive their Bosniaks brothers in central Bosnia during the 1990s. It has left a bad taste in the Bosniak mouth.

You won't get any replies from Lenard to this post since he cant blame Republika Srpska or Dodik for this.
But he will soon be back as soon as he reads something he can blame on the serbs!

You are to late !.

You could have joined the Serbians a long time ago,
and taken a stand for the Croatian part of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
joining Croatia,
and the Serbian enclave joining Serbia.

No Western powers would have gone to war against that.

That would have uncovered the Muslim intent to dominate,
because they would have used Military force to prevent such a departure.

"Still wondering what a 'Bosnian' is. Practicing a religion shouldn't automatically make you an ethnic group."

luciano,
indeed your insight is interesting. one would assume with such supposed hatred serbs and croats would have had of the turkish invaders and of the remaining islamic converts that they would have cleansed them all out, had in fact this deeply seed hatred actually existed. excellent point.

Bosnia belongs to Bosnians. If Serbs and Croats don't like it they can move to Serbia and Croatia.

To an objective person it does seem rather unusual that the Serbs and/or Croats did not expel the all the Turks and Muslim Slavs who were originally Catholic or Orthodox but converted to Islam during the 500 year Turkish occupation of the Balkans.I personally cannot tell the difference between your so called Bosnian Serbian or Croatian languages and from what I understand there is less difference than American and British English and yet you people seem to be so hateful of each other so why does any Bosniak insist on telling Serbsand Croats that we should live in a unified Bosnia but not a unified Yugoslavia?

Amazing how we find Albanians everywhere, sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. Seriously, if you don't like Serbs dominating the region then you can move back to Turkey.

Where is Lenard to critize this evil croat who wants the demize of Bosnia. Looks like the bosn jaks are the ones preventing all of bosnias people to move forward. I'm glad bosnias croats are waking up to reality.
