A big problem for the West is that they know they cannot indefinitely guard Kosovo from her rightful owner. Sooner or later they will have to leave. Unfortunately for Albanians they do not border any strong western country to be protected by. They are surrounded by Serbs, Greeks, Montenegrins and Macedonians who all have suffered enough and the things will just happen naturally. I think even Albania will cease to exist, and really they have only themselves to blame.

Wrong calculation on your part. Montenegro and Macedonia have recognized Kosova and they don't dare side with Serbia. Not only now, but even during the war when Montenegro was in bed with serbia has never made any attempt to attack Kosova. On the contrary, Montenegro gave refuge to to many Albanians when Serb paramilitaries were expelling them from their homeland. Greece is to far away, and would never ever even think about it.
Now let us see the strong countries surrounding Serbia: Kosova,Croatia, Hungary,Bulgaria and Macedonia since NATO is also the boss there. Montenegro will keep to itself in this matter, but when it becomes NATO member, it has to intervene against Serbia if need arises.

Serbia's denial of the facts on the ground and the reality of Kosovo is only going to isolate Serbia which is surrounded by EU states or soon to be EU states.

There will be a further exodus from Serbia, people who will be seeking better living conditions.

The economic situation in Serbia will grow colder and darker with Serbia's present attitude towards reality.

The truth hurts, but the sooner somebody in Serbia informs the Serbs of the truth and reality the better for the Serbs.

If not, things will only get worse, for nobody else but the Serbs themselves.

The EU and Us have not disappeared, but their power and authority is diminishing – that’s the message. Why even US media are now stating that after the November Presidential elections the pain will start and taxes increase and expenditure decease starting with defense spending. They have lost most of ground gained after the fall of the Berlin wall starting with the Ukraine and Georgia. The US has lost the most lucrative prize – Caspian Sea oil and gas and now it’s been kicked out of Iraq with their PM in Moscow putting in an order for billion in weapons with many more to come. It cannot be a collapse because it would affect everyone, but it must be an orderly handing over of the baton.
The Us will be still with us and it will be a large economy but the corporations have squeezed all they can and will leave the aver Joe the bill to pay.

With that major pipeline complete and others already existing and being built now Russian gas will supply 65% of EU needs and Serbia will be left to control the entire Balkans. Now would you like enlighten us all here about Presavo Valley (which Albos are now a minority) Sandzak (since the largest part is in Montenegro) and Vojvodina (which is 80% Serb).

You people just don’t get it. The EU has has been saying until very recently that EU expansion is proceeding according to schedule, then all of a sudden silence. The money has run out – NO MORE CASH. It has now been reported in a Vienna newspaper that the EU has given up its only weapon against Russia.
Diplomat and government keep on repeating the same old phrases until policy changes – the last US Ambassador to South Vietnam said a couple of months before leaving that they would never desert their friends until policy changed.
You can Special Rapporteur for the Western Balkans all you like but policy will change. Večernje novosti have been printing this same stuff for the last 8 years and nothing has changed for Kosovo and nothing will considering the Russians are taking over from the US. Serbia a founding member of the UN, what a joke.

Serbia officially became a member of the UN on November 01, 2000.

And as far as what Serbia thinks about Kosoo's "territorial integrity" has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

Firstly, to date 92 UN members recognize Kosovo's "territorial integrity", furthermore 22 EU countries and soon to be 23 EU countries (when Croatia joins) and the EU as an organization recognizes Kosovo's "territorial integrity" based on the latest October 10/2012 EU report.

Serbia's denial of the facts on the ground and the reality of Kosovo is only going to isolate Serbia which is surrounded by EU states or soon to be EU states.

There will be a further exodus from Serbia, people who will be seeking better living conditions.

The economic situation in Serbia will grow colder and darker with Serbia's present attitude towards reality.

The truth hurts, but the sooner somebody in Serbia informs the Serbs of the truth and reality the better for the Serbs.

If not, things will only get worse, for nobody else but the Serbs themselves.

That's exactly what Kosovo's Declaration of Independence did and thus the EU is committed to it per Tomislav's request above.

Suzana, give your president a call and let him know that: It is not possible to change the formulation “Kosovo’s territorial integrity” in the Enlargement Strategy and Main Challenges 2012-2013, while European Parliament (EP) Special Rapporteur for the Western Balkans Hannes Swoboda who said that Serbia will have to recognize Kosovo before joining the EU, let Serbs know they dont have to do it tomorrow, but the sooner the better.
And today (14/10/2012) we read: Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić told daily Večernje novosti that the EU had no alternative for Serbia.

The EU and Us have not disappeared, but their power and authority is diminishing – that’s the message. Why even US media are now stating that after the November Presidential elections the pain will start and taxes increase and expenditure decease starting with defense spending. They have lost most of ground gained after the fall of the Berlin wall starting with the Ukraine and Georgia. The US has lost the most lucrative prize – Caspian Sea oil and gas and now it’s been kicked out of Iraq with their PM in Moscow putting in an order for billion in weapons with many more to come. It cannot be a collapse because it would affect everyone, but it must be an orderly handing over of the baton.
The Us will be still with us and it will be a large economy but the corporations have squeezed all they can and will leave the aver Joe the bill to pay.
The EU has surrendered its ambitions to enlarge going as far as the Chinese border. Hey what can I say more? Its called capitulation.

You people just don’t get it. The EU has has been saying until very recently that EU expansion is proceeding according to schedule, then all of a sudden silence. The money has run out – NO MORE CASH. It has now been reported in a Vienna newspaper that the EU has given up its only weapon against Russia.
Diplomat and government keep on repeating the same old phrases until policy changes – the last US Ambassador to South Vietnam said a couple of months before leaving that they would never desert their friends until policy changed.
You can Special Rapporteur for the Western Balkans all you like but policy will change. Večernje novosti have been printing this same stuff for the last 8 years and nothing has changed for Kosovo and nothing will considering the Russians are taking over from the US. I hope your relative in Kosovo have their passport ready becasue once the Serb administration takes over life is going to be, let’s say not that comfortable – enjoy.

No need to tell me, tell your own leaders that EU is bankrupt and breaking up. As your efforts to integrate are immense, no matter how much you are being told "you are not wanted".
If the situation with EU is as you say, why the unnecessary and painful humiliation of continue knocking on a shut door?

As for your threats (your comment last para.), I could be wrong but, another war in the Balkans would probably suit anybody else more than Serbia, so you are welcome to that...

Wait be patient and see what happens after the next Presidential elections – they have to start massive budget reductions followed by tax increases (something every US economists fears because any tax increases will cause the US economy to take an even worse downturn) and the first cuts have to come from defence with further massive reductions in following years and closure of bases all around the world – a contraction we have not seen before in history.

However, for our Albanian friends let me say that all is well as the US can borrow without limit as it will be protected with pixy dust and the cloak of freedom and democracy.
