The European Commission (EC) did not recommend that Serbia be given a date for the beginning of the EU accession talks in a report that was presented today.
Serbia doesn't need a date, there is nothing in the EU worth joining. Serbia can be friends with Italy, Slovakia and the same time with Russia and Kazakhstan at the same time by being a neutral country "a la Suisse"...
For your information pal I've had a taste of your corrupt EU and you can keep it, in fact please shove it where the sun doesn't shine. Serbia is better off looking east period. The EU is dying and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that.
Eatern Europeans who left their homelands to work in the EU a few years back are all heading back to their own homelands because the EU is so great??? I don't think so, they see how the lands lies and they're getting out while they still can. Why would they or us in Serbia want to end up like Greece Italy Spain Ireland Portugal Britain etc etc etc.

well ecoman, it is interesting becuase it goes to show how the EU sees Kosova & Serbia, as separate states, not one. to me the message seems pretty clear, if EU membership is what Serbia is after, it will have to recognize Kosova's independence

Why is that so interesting, Nikolle? The EU has been pushing for KiM independence since the bombs stopped falling, and they tried to rip it away from Serbia. But they can speak of it any way they want, because KiM is still a very much disputed territory, and its final status may be decades away.
