Hey BOO HOO, I wish that you and all the rest of America mal wishers take a small break and pray after me:
I pray to all the powers that there may be, that the Empire never ever gets hungry or thirsty. Amen!

And if you are Serb, let us pray to the Lord: Lord, please restore the Empire's wisdom and sight so she may be
able, again, to know and "see" Truth, or get tired sooner than later of the Albanian BS, which ever you decide
on first. Amen!!!
Prayers work, hate and mal wishing kills.

More poor people in Venezuela than rich so his victory is logical and most Americans dont mind buying their gas at Citgo gas stations in the US which are all owned by Venezuela.Chavez is a lovable buffoon to many Venezuelans and he has never insulted Obama like he did Bush.I wonder why Castro in Cuba is afraid to let the Cuban people vote in free elections so he can prove to the world once and for all that a majority of Cubnas support him.

It is a nice result. Chavez has helped the not so financially rich countries of the world a lot, much more than the west has. He has given aid, given discounted oil... and it boggles my mind why doesn't serbia have closer relations with the guy. We could sell him some arms, while getting cheap oil and other goodies from him. :D

You might explain why since practically the whole oil supply reaches US refineries, while keeping considerable parts of the population Venezuela in poverty. In fact, it is questionable why Venezuela did not become a Latin American version of the Emirates, while having according certain estimates the largest fossile deposites in the world.

Btw., at least it appears that the votes were indeed more or less fair. So congrats Hugo.

This will really piss the Americans off big time as Chavez is another one the Yanks do not like, Chavez is a champion of the poor and tells it like it is.

Congratulations Senor Chavez, you are a true, and good voice coming out of South America. You can put it in Washington's face, and that is a great thing. Viva Hugo, good health and longevity.

"He was elected to a new six-year term by advocating for the transition to socialism in the country with the largest confirmed oil reserves in the world."

Socialism is easy if you have oil money to spend. Especially with a high oil price, there's some billions left for public welfare even after spending billions for weapons, for support of Kuba, and for a very good life of friends and people belonging to the ruling clans.

The bad side is: The country is rotting, no investment, and I heard that Venezuela, as a big oil exporter, even has to import gasoline for cars because their refineries were not kept in an operational state.

But one good thing: The elections must have been more or less democratic, as you can see in the not so 'impressive' results of 54% vs. 45%
