International law, human rights expert dies

Vojin Dimitrijević, an international law expert and Belgrade Center for Human Rights director, died at the age of 81 on Friday in Belgrade.

Dimitrijevic was a respected intellectual for many years and it is a loss for Serbia as well as for his family.

The man wasn't without his faults, some would have criticised him for leaning pro West. However, he maintained respect of opponents for being principled in his position and for respecting opponents and their positions himself.

In conclusion whatever one's political position he was a mostly a positive force on Serbian life and will be remembered as such.
