" you dont want fanatical marxist crap like Krugman"

I wish it was marxist but unfortunatly he is (neo) keynsian.you might want to read a bit more than your little right wing brain desires. No for your information, Marxian economics is not an advocate of government taking care of everything, its a critique of the capitalist economic system and proposes a co-operative/democratic economic system instead.

A big government stimlus for the economy would help if its directed in the right way.But instead of just givin back these companies when they are proped up,firms should be turned into ESOP's or Co operatives.
What should also be supported is :
.participatory budgeting
.B corps
.Publc utilities
.State banks and co-op community banks/credit unions
.local currency
.Public trusts/public stock and the democratization of stock ownership/capital
.Community development corperations
.land trusts
.Local government

.A little bit of proof to show how not even the business elite believe in that free trade crap:They ask for bailouts constantly
.A little bit of proof to show how Europe does not believe in it:Germany among other countries subsidize their farmers.

Taking out loans is good as long as the money is used to invest in productive economic activities such as building factories which will give a rate of return above what the cost of the loans are.Serbia should never take out loans to pay for salaries, pensions, government employees, etc.or it will end up like Greece.

If we wait for Europe we'll get nowhere. Serbia has to turn to other countries and other markets. No more waiting. Europe must recover before it is ready to take Serbia into the EU. I support that.

"Krugman said that the Serbian government could try to mitigate and limit the damage but that Serbia was a small country which could not hope for a full recovery unless Europe recovered first."

Yugoslavia, were a big country, but that is no longer an issue!
Thank you EU & US for the help, THANK YOU.

"Europe must recover before Serbia,"

Recover what? From the loans you take at 6.5% at 20 years when you know that only.5% that comes of private sector can be used to pay for communist luxuries of today. So technically your own kids will have to be 3 times more deeper in debt just to pay of interest alone and not the loan itself.

If you dont want fanatical marxist crap like Krugman, there is always peaceful Ludwig von Mises who has polished fly butts with Krugmans mind.
