Not to forget the red-haired people. Sadly that, in some aspects, Serbia is more like a Muslim country in Asia than a European one.

ecoman,

I'm a straight man. Is it O.K. to request security from the City of Belgrade? Or do I need to take my bodyguards with every time I go out? Ecoman, where will Serbia end up if it revokes constitutional rights for economical reasons? If you get beaten some day, ecoman, don't come to cry here. You should have paid for your protection.

The LGBT people,

The constitutional law guarantees you right to assemble. Nevertheless, you need to fight for your rights. And this fight is not the last one fought in Serbia on its road to democratic civil society. If you stay waiting like a mouse for breadcrumbs wiped from table to floor, you'll wait and wait. There's needed many ari golds, zokas, ecomen, scp uks to be pushed aside, tramped over and thrown to waste containers with their neanderthal thinking before the fight for rights is over. If it was up to people like them, left-handed persons would still be considered as Devil's own.

This is just another "West-NGO" to infiltrate dirt and filth into open society so as to destroy the moral fabric of it and then flush it down the same toilet America and the "west" has gone down. I don't care what your orientation is.... keep it to yourself and stop throwing it in people's faces.... we don't care to watch.

Has anybody wondered how many times an article on the gay parade has appeard on this site in the last week or so?Ten times on my watch and it's a clear indication of how desperate is the EU pro-gay lobby to push its agenda down the throat of the Serbs. But no matter how much they try and how much they spend to get their agenda through they won't succeed.

The problem is: The security is not needed because of the organizers of the pride parade, but because of the violent hooligans. If someone should pay for necessary police forces, it is these groups.

Yes in a financial crisis Ecoman perhaps the right to assembly should be suspended. Perhaps if the crisis is bad enough all civil rights should be suspended too...

No, 'it isn't the time' argument is usually supported by those that think 'its never the time'...

There is absolute no need for public gay parades in the first place. The vast majority in Serbian and Eastern Europe is against such perversion. How come this is not respected, ah? Stop this gay parade madness!!!

My answer to the gay and lesbian community, pay for security out of your own pockets, and hold a parade every day if you like. There is a financial crisis going on, Serbia is pretty much bankrupt, yet the gay community feels it is OK to request security from a city with no funds. BTW, the parade will not change Serbian opinion on homosexuality. It may even worsen it. BG is not a Western capital, it has a long, long, way to go.

Sadly Dačić has already given in to the anti-gay activists.
Gays & friends (including "straights" like me who believe in a modern society with freedom of expression) are still fighting Dačić's cowardly decision. They don't give up easily.
What this proves is: Gays have big balls. Government NO balls (just big mouth).
