PM reiterates: We want EU talks date as soon as possible

That economy of yours is really a easy thing to get back on track! The only thing keeping Serbia's economy from getting stronger is that Serbia must assure the countries she borders including Kosova, that she now is a factor of peace & stability in the Balkan region of south east Europe! But Serbia must show the world that she no longer lives in a world of myths & fantasies! She must come to the realization that the people of Kosova have spoken, that the people of Kosova have chosen their own destiny, independently of Serbia! You know Serbia, at the end of the day you will have caused only hardships upon the Serbian people only! At the end of the day Kosova will still be independent with the 98% majority Albanian population... Balls in your court Serbia!

There is no desperation from our side regarding Serbia recognising Kosovo independence. We are just trying to clear up your troubled mind. We are sayng that unless Serbia recognises formally Kosovo independece there there is no realistic option to EU. Practically Kosovo is independent from Serbia. You just need a bit help to accept it formally. Desperate are your polititians who want a date.....I meant an accession date NOT a blind date....))) Rasumjesh?

I often see that pro-serbian commentators are calling kosovo albanians hyenas. That, in my opinion is disrespectful and it only shows the arrogance of the people posting such comments.

On the subject of EU with or without Kosovo, i think serbian people should move on. There is no way in the current political environment that your wish/hope of keeping Kosovo will be allowed.
Remember in the past 20 years, you've lost all the wars, you caused lots of pain in the region and nobody is interested in your historical fairy tales.

And by the way Ari you keep forgetting something, the occupation of albanian kosova by serbia was finally lifted in 1999 by NATO & the Albanian population! We citizens of Kosova are not desperate one bit, for your Serbian recognition! We have recieve'd the recognitions that were needed for Kosova, by the most powerful democratic countries on earth. The majority NATO countries recognize Kosova as independent! And most of these countries recognized Kosova within days of its Declaration of Independence! Sorry Ari, but it it's quite clear that you & your Serbia are showing all the symptoms of desperation And confusion! The EU, NATO, and the USA, are all bearing down on Serbia buddy!

The report will be objective, Serbia cannot use the same ploy as before. They made agreements to get their candidate status, they cannot say now we will implement those agreements in return for a date for talks. With the recent remarks from Nikolic and the fact they still do not have their "platform" on Kosovo yet it is doubtful that date will be given in the near future.

If Serbia is open for all imports from EU but has not the same rights in the other direction the actual trade-deficit of over 5 billion USD will not be lower in the future. Serbia as country is not more attrctive for foreign investors: the country including the labour-force is too expensive and the market is too small and not a good reference for the other countries. Who will invest in a country with unclear borders, problems with citizenship, internal state organiszation and corruption. A brand Made in serbia will have problems in Croatia, Hungary but also sometimes in Austria and Germany. There is a way which was used from other countris: extrem low taxes and labour-costs. But Serbia with its fanatic dreams concerning EU is in the trap to come closer to an extrem high-pricing region. And in Serbia is nothing of real interest for the EU-countries: no commodities, no agricultural without uranium condemamtion and only cheap pseudo-folkliristic handwoven textiles or shoes of low quality. The Serbs should built up the country as homeland of the Serbs from zero. But only withanother plitical-economical-cultural elite. But nobody is visible who could do that. If the greatest problems are that the "Kosovo customs be status neutral" everybody can see that the Serbs have not understand the real dimension of theier problems. And very import would be to stop all the looking after each simple foreign comments, without understanding these comments at least.

At the end will be a deal but more the capitulation of Serbia for the goal to become one day EU-member what seems more unclear as ever before. Serbia lost the moment to "sell" the Kosovo. Kissinger said just now there was or is a "lack in understanding" ith Serbia. The great powers cannot understand the Serbs. The Serbian President was planning to leave NY on monday, now is going earlier home and Clinton is not comming. Like ever all the "diplomatic" efforts of Serbia which are totally simple (or primitive would be the bette word?)were nothing more as hot air. The world at the UN is not the meeting of Serbian party-"hereos". At the end, and this is the only trgic, the majority of Serbs has to leave Kosovo. The Western powers are interested in "national states". Only Serbia will have the "joy" to implement the impossible: to create a little Yugoslavia and so to have in the future endless internal problems. So Serbia will play never again any role on the Balkans more. This is politics but the real dimension is for the Serbian elite to demanding, to feel the blowing of history and to catch the right moment.

Having the illusion that 'Kosovo is Serbia' is as stupid as to think Kosovo is a normal country like the 197 others on the world. It is not, it's like Northern Cyprus, Taiwan, Palestine. This wouldn't be even a problem Taiwan is doing well, but furthermor, Kosovo is the hotbed of crime, Europe's main drug hub, has the highest unemployment rate and lowest possible economy, and ist the most corrupt 'state' in Europe together with Moldova.

And for these things, you can blame all who elected these corrupt nationalist leaders, some of them with a more than dubious background, who only care for their own pockets and the well-doing of their own clan members and not for the 'state of Kosovo' that they pretend to love so much.
