Jovan, you are funny dood, no one called me boy since Kissinger was Secretary of State. Kind of feels good. As far as Albanian, I am sorry I can't accept that honor, although I would be proud to find out my ancestors were Albanian, I only know the family tree on one side and it is a mixture of British and Cherokee Indian.
I chose that article for 2 reasons. 1 It showed that despite what many on here claim and probably you, it was not the initial goal of Clinton to make Kosovo independent, that only came after Serbia showed no signs it would ever change and Albanians would never be able to live in peace under Serbian domination.
2. Kissinger was one of the first people to recognize this.
He was against NATO going into Serbia for many reasons but he was definitely no supporter of Milosevic, as a direct quote from the man himself, "Milosevic is a balkan thug"
The article itself was appropriate because it was direct conversation with him, while he still had the ears of the US govt and the international arena. He is still respected worldwide today but he is out of the mainstream political scene. By the way I am sure Serbia paid handsomely for their few minutes with him at his Consulting Firm and it even came with a photo op.

Ecoman, I am so glad you are one in the agreement with the thinking of Kissinger.
It is true he was against a military intervention in Kosovo, not because he supported Serbia but he said that it was not worth it. He said the feuds in the balkans had gone on for hundreds of years and that they could not be modernized. But once NATO started he said it was imperitive that they bring it to a conclusion.
Also a direct quote from Kissinger himself.
"The political outcome will have to be a new status for Kosovo. I don't agree with the president that it can be kept within Serbia on some sort of autonomous basis. I believe the most probable outcome now will be some kind of a protectorate with large self-government for the Kosovars."
We share a common admiration for the man, he is wise beyond his years!

actually he´s a controversial political figure indeed. but he is also a person that many in the US are listening to, when he says something.

in regard to that, it is always good lobbying in the US, because that will only speed up what is inevitable anyway: the US will let the K-albanian down, it is only a question of time.

EA, are you trying to belittle the comments of a great political mind and diplomat like Mr. Kissinger? You, a blindly biased Albanian B92 roll, are not worthy to clean Mr. Kissinger's shoes, yet you try and make light of his comments. Anything that shines a good light on Serbs, is like dust in your eyes, EA, I understand that, but please have some respect for a man that needs no affirmation from even world leaders, more or less the like of a person like you.

"... spoke "in an inspired manner" about Serbian history and heroism of Serbs in the world wars."

Was he with the Serbian partisans of Tito....)) Does he remember when he left the glasses last night...)))
