I wonder when albanians will take a closer look at their politicians. Then again, what you don't know, doesn't exist. Albanians rather turn a blind eye then face the music. You media is proof of how democratic a society really is.

Having reread your comment I suddnely realised what a very damning statement you made.
Just a couple of questions; Whose 'we'; Where are the 'Testimonies' (and who recorded them); and finally have 'we' passed these on to the relevent authorities? I think we are agreed that those are serious allegations and should be actioned, not sat on!

They should have mandatory 24/7 cameras on at all border crossings with links for anyone to view. This way it keeps the customs agents honest and keeps ppl that cross honest too.

Cameras were/are used. However, when most of the 'deals' between customs/police and the smugglers are done away from the gates, little is seen. Suspicious entries are noted and usually passed over to customs investigation (see a picture forming).
I can only comment from my experience at Gate 1 (Jarinje), the only guys we seemed to catch were the stupid, greedy or desperate. The more experienced knew when to come thru as they had their contacts at the Gate to tell them when its clear. The corruption is deep and indigenous personnel are /have made a substantial ammount of money. Rumours of a hotel in Herceg Nova bought by one member of the customs team is an indication of how vast the profits are!

Bravo! Finally someone is showing that the ppl end up being the losers while only a few gain under the status quo of things. Everyone should understand that without bordsr control mechanisms society loses a lot of revenue.

Only in hard economic times do we see the govt. review their errors and close loopholes.

Oh details. Like water in the desert. Finally, an article worth reading line by line. Why are these so rare? The last one was when Stefanovic gave details on the agreements. That was months ago. Probably because it takes so much work. Good job on this one. It promises names in the second part and can't wait to read the article about that part. Hopefully, it will be published.

wouaaaaaaahhIt take time to your journalists to "understand" what was really happening in north kosovo, and why somes were really interested in troubles there...;)!So the next question for your journalists is where is this money now??? Who are the politicians who help this maffia and how much did your politicians get?5For eulex memebers,we have testimonies that they received money to close their eyes!
