The DS urged the new government to "acquaint citizens with the truth and its plan for Kosovo", adding that if the government believed that the agreements with Priština are contrary to Serbia's interests, "it should annul them and restart the negotiating process".
I can’t agree more, and I would even go further, searching for their legal accountability!
“There is nothing secret in the agreement that the government reached with Priština, and anyone who claims the opposite is telling lies.”
So, how comes people still don’t know the content, in despite of DS claiming that there is nothing secret , but delaying communication of the content of those agreements, which should be of parliament’s SOLE and SOVEREIGN decision, indefinitely?
What to think about president Nikolic delaying, again and again, the publication of the content of those agreements of which, even Oliver Jovanovic, who just woke up when he had a look at his bank account at the end of the month, said that they’re not in favor of Kosovo’s people…
How about this platform and why would a referendum be the last solution?
It would be the BEST solution!!!

You’re hiding behind your little finger, saying that recognition is not a pre-requisite for joining the EU.
You know it, everybody knows it but nobody should clearly tell the truth.
Makes me think about “the emperor’s new clothes”.

Only people who are not part of the EU still believe in EU unity.
There's no political unity, social unity, common project or defense policy.
It's a club of nation-states, where the most powerful make the law and the others just have to shut up and pay the bill.
That's EU reality.
If commission or parliament says this or that, who cares?
All important decisions are made by the ministers of the nation-states represented.

Enlargement has to be accepted by all nation-states and, most probably, several national parliaments will vote on that. Germany, France, Great Britain, and most probably several others, will not vote for Serbia as long as Serbia doesn’t establish good NEIGHBORLY relations with its southern province and as long as there is an open territorial dispute. That’s the polite version of asking Serbia to recognize its province as independent.
National parliaments will take less gloves, and you’ve just heard the opinion some major political German parties….

EU integration is definitely a dead end road for Serbia and there is NO need to sell your mother for to join this sinking ship!

Western newspapers are reporting that the "closed season" for Serbia is over, the west is demanding the recognition of Kosovo...the choice for Serbia is not "EU or Kosovo", it is in the eyes of the Western countries "EU or Russia"....hard times in front of Belgrade

There continues to be confusion between the 'official' conditions for membership of the EU (those adopted by the Council of Ministers) and what each individual country may require from Serbia in order not to use its veto. It is true to say that officially recognition of Kosovo is not a condition but this is only because 5 of the members of the Council of Ministers represent countries who themselves do not recognise that country. In effect if Germany decides to use its veto unless Serbia recognises Kosovo it becomes, de facto, a condition of membership even if it is not sanctioned by all 27 members and to pretend otherwise is disingenuous in the extreme. Of course we don't know for sure what Germany's stance is as we have only heard from various individuals. Perhaps Angela should be asked straight out what she thinks, but even if she were she would no doubt give a diplomatic reply that attempted to keep everyone happy. That's why I am no longer a diplomat!!

Conditions which are now placed to Serbia are overweight, and we don't need a new one. I'm not sure that tomorrow or the day after tomorrow will be new requirements. Germany is the leading country in the EU, and with it we never really don't know where we stand.

"No new conditions for Serbia, EU rep claims - Obligations in the EU accession process are well-known and there are no new conditions, Brussels officials have pointed out."

After these words, how long will it take for Kostunica to come out and repeat his story about the EU requesting the recognition of Kosovo, of course combined with the usual comment about the 'destructive EU policy of Serbia' and 'EU has no alternative' idea?

Michael

However, Večernje novosti has learnt from well-informed sources that the upcoming report will not be unfavorable

well-informed desinformation sources, no further conditions until the next conditions, it is not "unfavorable", only total capitulation, not more, but its all due Serbias look only on foreign conditions

This good neighborly agreement is obviously a demand that Serbia recognize Kosovo. Strange, the German Christian party could come to Belgrade, make a demand of a binding contract, then Serbia doesn't get a date for negotiations until they form good neighborly relations.

EA

"...the EU has requested visible signs of a sustainable improvement of relations with Priština through progress in the dialogue."

What does that exately mean? Without recognising your neigbour....No room for double interpretation...
