The only thing you know about economics is the money you get from social security every month.

It is a sad situation, but much of the world is affected by the drought. In the US there is a complete catastrophe in terms of the farming this year. So in that sense, we're not doing too bad I think...

The entire northern hemisphere has gone through a terrible drought. The Australian farmers are looking at a very good year and hoping to recover some of the losses they made during the 10 years drought in that country and this is the second good year.
The US farming states have been decimated with corn and wheat only stubble in the ground and some parts have turned into dust. The price for grain has gone up and up and there is fear in some countries that they will not be able to buy enough and civil unrest will start.

"It’s been 56 years since the U.S. last experienced a drought as bad as the one this year. And according to an Agriculture Department report released today, the drought has drastically reduced production estimates for corn and soybean.

Corn production is down 13 percent from 2011. ..."

(No mention of soybean production, you're free to look for the figures.)

Lenard, go seek mental help. As for you B92, why do you allow such destructive troubling comments from him?
