Where do you get your facts? I believe its the other way round as the UK (along with other nations) as contributed/promised millions to a financial firewall to help others
(wee kelpie, 23 September 2012 14:00)
If you work in the international finance industry it’s common knowledge that the UK has been twice to the IMF for loans. Unfortunately these same democratic, free press loving states have a terrible habit of not telling their people what is going on. This firewall business is only spin. The EU has approached both Russia and China to buy its Euro bonds to help it stabilize the Euro. The Germans only recently asked the Chinese to directly put stimulus money into the EU to kick start their economy, but Beijing said no to Merkel. If the west had the money why would Merkel ask the Chinese?
After the GFC of 2008 Japan put in about 200 billion into the IMF and then they had to go cap in hand to China – that is how the Chinese have a seat on the IMF and that is the reason the IMF is being reformed to bring on board Brazil, Russia and India. Since the initial time China has had to dip into its reserves two more times.

Let’s recap what has happened in the last couple of years. The US has lost the war in Iraq and in combination with others the so called largest battle group aka NATO has lost the war in Afghanistan. The US is heading like a runaway train towards 17 trillion in deficit by December or 120% of GDP with an unofficial unemployment rate of anywhere between 25%.and 30%. The US government is printing more money now to get though the elections then they will cut expenditure by 2 trillion over the next 10 years but borrow 7 trillion in that time and everything will be fine – only in Albanian economics does that happen.
The Chinese have kicked out the US of South East Asia, the US has have lost the energy wars with Russia and South stream rules while Nabucco is a pipe dream so the Russians will provide up to 65% to 70% of all of the EU’s energy needs.
Now let’s look at the IMF; the UK is broke because it has this year alone gone twice to the IMF for loans to avoid bankruptcy; France is broke as its worse than the Italians but hey its kept a dirty little secret, the Germans are in recession. Then even Australian officials are warning their people that times ahead will be tougher.
The Chinese have now for the third time pumped more money into the IMF to keep it afloat.
As one of Rupert Murdock’s journalist said once all of this comes out in the us there could well be an armed revolution.

It is rather nice of you to be the one to announce it, just not sure what you are announcing. Kfor(NATO) has their mandate and they proceed should the security council not like what they are doing then all they need is to secure the vote to change including all 5 perm members. Russia cannot do that alone, and since Russian involvement in Kfor is 0 they have no internal control.
Maybe this announcement is like the one last year where you announced that China was replacing the US as the No 2 position at the IMF.
Or like the year before where you announced that Judge Buergenthal was retiring because he could not vote the way the US wanted in the opinion on Kosovo's UDI.
The new No2 man is still from the US as with tradition, and Judge Buergenthal did retire but his vote was in line with the opinion and since his retirement he has given several interviews and lectures affirming his position.
So too will your new announcement of Russia in Charge lie without fanfare and fall into the recycle bin as appropriate.
As far as having a say as to whether Kfor can stay or must go, as long as Serbia and Russia are in agreement with UK,US,France, then you can say they do. But be in opposition and you will see that you don't. Because as the leaders of NATO which leads Kfor, they can decide to increase numbers as they did last year or reduce numbers all the way down to a UNMIK size reporting staff.

just a thought

pre 11 godina

Actually what they say is true that Kfor should worry about security and the training of Kosovo forces should be done either by the US, UK or Germany.
The problems with Eulex training police shows in that Eulex themselves are not familiar with the procedures they are rolling out, as each countries police force functions differently. The military should be trained in one way not this way this month and another way next month.

He probably doesn't have to worry about KFOR - the U.S. recently signed a Status of Forces Agreement with Kosovo and will be training the new army. There may be other countries involved as well. The troops the U.S. now sends to Kosovo for KFOR duties are from the National Guard (our "weekend warriors"); for training they may want to use career soldiers.

Perhaps some individual neutral nations who's peacekeepers severed under KFOR command tried to do their best to protect Serbs in Kosovo, however most of these countries could only provide a small contingent of soldiers for a short period of time.

Now let’s look at the IMF; the UK is broke because it has this year alone gone twice to the IMF for loans to avoid bankruptcy; France is broke as its worse than the Italians but hey its kept a dirty little secret, the Germans are in recession. NATO has always prorecred Serbia's territorial integrity. Nato forces disaremed KLA, and protected all countries in the region from Albanian adventurism. Nato's major role is to keep Albanians from expanding into other countries.
We all know if Nato were to leave Serbian Army would take over Kosovo in about 2 days.

Aleksandar Vučić stated on Friday that Serbia "highly appreciates NATO and KFOR's contribution to creating a peaceful environment in Kosovo"

Was Vučić drunk or just trying out some comedy in the case a career in politics doesn't work out for him ?

Perhaps some individual neutral nations who's peacekeepers severed under KFOR command tried to do their best to protect Serbs in Kosovo, however most of these countries could only provide a small contingent of soldiers for a short period of time.

Amer

pre 11 godina

He probably doesn't have to worry about KFOR - the U.S. recently signed a Status of Forces Agreement with Kosovo and will be training the new army. There may be other countries involved as well. The troops the U.S. now sends to Kosovo for KFOR duties are from the National Guard (our "weekend warriors"); for training they may want to use career soldiers.

"... unacceptable KFOR's role in the forming and training of Kosovo security forces."

What is expecting the minister for KFOR to stay in Kosovo for the rest of his life or more? The who will look after security issues in Kosovo "mother" Serbia? These Serbian polititian haven't got a clue what they are asking for...their credibility is being continuing going downhill....Soon they will start to speak to themselvesss)))

Germany - bases still there

Korea- Allied forces been there for years

B&H - even longer than in Kosovo/a

Kosovo/a - not going anywhere anytime soon.

No one is leaving the Balkans for many years to come. Ppl can say the EU is dying and so is the US economy, but the fact remains that US forces and allied forces are still spread around the world through good times and bad.

Maybe we'll have true peace in the Balkans for once!

Serbian permission is not needed for either of those two things.
(Mark, 21 September 2012 18:04)
Oh yes it does little man. This is a nice way of announcing that neither KFOR/NATO will be permitted to train anyone anymore. Its diplomacy mate and they all have to be nice to one another. Its all about Moscow becoming in charge and this is the nice way of announcing a change in policy.

The same mistake NATO is doing in Afganistan where they train local forces. We can read about the results almost every week. In Kosovo, it's nothing different.

Where do you get your facts? I believe its the other way round as the UK (along with other nations) as contributed/promised millions to a financial firewall to help others

Whilst I am here, perhaps B92 would like to explain why 'Ari Gold's' comment was removed yesterday; also, why subsequent comments were ignored.
Thank you

My answer to that is that Ari Gold not only is annoying but his name is fake one, not like yours restaurant name.
And you did not comment in my comment, you just wanted to be cute.

I am not ‘planning’ on going anywhere me old mate :-)) Nice intro though!
As for your retort earlier to my comment, I WAS BEING SARCASTIC! Read it again.
My reference to ‘Ari Gold’ is a reasonable request to B92. If you had opportunity to read the content before it was removed, you would have seen how he had ‘shot himself’ massively in the foot. I commented on a particular sentence he used and, (surprise, surprise), Ari’s comment is removed and mine is not published.
Restaurant?? I’m hurt 
Having read a number of your comments over the months I never would have thought you’d resort to name calling. Though I am kind of cute, or so my wife tells me!

Kosova will have its modern army to protect its people and territory from the Serbian army. We have learned our lesson and your soldier never again will try to put his shoe on Kosova territory.

just a thought

pre 11 godina

Actually what they say is true that Kfor should worry about security and the training of Kosovo forces should be done either by the US, UK or Germany.
The problems with Eulex training police shows in that Eulex themselves are not familiar with the procedures they are rolling out, as each countries police force functions differently. The military should be trained in one way not this way this month and another way next month.

(sj, 22 September 2012 04:15)
