I'm sure that the new government will not agree to anything that is not in Serbia's interest, whatever the conditions of the EU.

Whichever way you sugarcoat it it is still either recognise Kosovo or we will block you.
Demand for recognition is not there until we are ready for talks? So what does that mean? You only have to recognise Kosovo once it gets to that stage?
This is so ridiculous that it is actually funny now. I have to laugh at all the Serbian politicians running around like rats trying to excuse statements like the ones Germans are making. No, he doesn't mean that, no we don't have to because it's only one guy, then two guys saying it.

The whole thing is a scam from both sides and the people getting scammed are the Serbs.

Remember what happened last time the Germans (Austrians, anschluss, same thing) offered Serbia an ultimatum? Even after Serbia agreed to 99% of it, they still invaded. What was it that Santayana said?

There is NO ONE word in the German media about the "conditions" of the CDU-MP Schockenhoof. Schockenhoff has great problems with the Russaingovernment due to his undiplomatic "style". The MP had also problems due to his problems drivingsevelral times cars drunken. But in Belgrade a Deputy PM is afraid of this person nobody knows in Germany. It is the typical Serbian way to let speak the own readiness for capitulation through other people. The leading German business-daily was publishing yesterday in a corner "The Pinoccio of the day" the comments of the Serbian PM about the good economic situationof the country. This is more important: in leadig business-circles in German the Serbian leaders are nor accepted as trustworth partners. Nobody in Germany would have at such a top-level meetings with second-class MPs like Belgrae is doing it with the CDU-MP. On his own Website there is NO ONE word about his visit to Belgrade. This says everything. Belgrade should set clear what is possible and what not, and not look every second on all little moves abroad. There are so man problems inside the EU, nobody has time and interest in Serbian affairs. Germany is a close friend of the Albanians, all other ideas in Belgrade are dreamings. The Germans are going their way over long-periods. Nothing is forgotten what happend many years ago in Serbia. Serbia should be prepared for hard times.

The best answer is no answer or an answer that is neither no nor yes. Or just shaking the head and rolling the eyes upwards.

If you say yes then you open the flood gates et encourager les autres.

If you say no, then you get told how many of their grandfathers personally received the Iron Cross from Adolf Hitler himself for Talented Atrocities.

If you say nout, then they have nothing to go on but their own interpretations. Germans throwing tantrums and making such demands in public only makes them look unstable and ridiculous to everybody else. Serbia has plenty of time on its side.
