It sounds like some houndreds years ago: the earth is the centre of the universe, so in Belgrad´s media Serbia is the centre of the German foreign policy. But NOBODY beside third-class MPs are dealing with Serbian affairs. Its like Bismarck said, the Balkan is not worth the life of one of his soldiers. If a self-declared CDU-"emperor" of Serbiais giving in Belgrade his conditions, half of Serbia is discussing when it should accept and bring the new ruler his tribute. Germany is sending third-class people to a third-class country.

I think that the new government in Serbia will not accept any condition which is not in Serbia's interest even at the cost of EU membership. As for Kosovo, the government is illegitimate and therefore their entry into the EU, and I believe the day will come when they will match the international court.

You remind me of my grand son, he came home from preschool the other day and I asked if he made any new friends. His reply was "no they are all little kids"
Point of the story, some think they are a bit higher level than reality.

EA, you are either a child, or quite uneducated. The Kosovo issue is an issue that neither the EU, or Serbia, is in a hurry to resolve. Firstly, the EU is in no hurry to get Serbia in membership talks, and years away from eventual candidate status. The EU itself is not in total unison on the KiM issue, so how can they (EU) rush anyway? Secondly, does anyone in their right mind think that an independent Albanian KiM is EU material? Please, just take a look at what KiM looks like, minutes outside of Pristina, and you have your answer. Especially the guys wearing the white beanie hats, that is real EU material. I cannot even begin to tell you all, what a farce this Balkan/EU membership game is all about. But heck, just like it keeps thousands of EU and Balkan officials employed, it keeps the commentators on B92 active too. So, everyone is involved and happy, but things will not change for a generation, at least. By then, the Chinese and Indians may well be the world's dominant powers - yikes!

Serbia's constitution means nothing when it comes to Kosovo. Serbia can still hang on to it....until other Balkan countries are ready to join the club before Serbia.....

Careful Serbia theres to much confussion going on. YES,NO which is it,they will make sure Serbia give in to everything else than put pressure on to recognize Kosovo. Than it will be up to the Government of Serbia to finally show some backbone or not (I think the Latter). They all shoot off their mouths, but they are still politicians. They will sell out their fellow Serbs in the end to please the Western Masters.

My congratulations to Belgrade! If it makes (some) Germans angry, then they are doing something right. It's fascinating to see this breakdown between european institutions and member states. If they can't even be bothered to keep up a fictitious PR front or agree to keep their mouths shut, then something quite serious is going on behind closed doors, and I mean by this quite serious disagreements.
