Ajax, one thing I found with Serbs is that, more than in many other nations, they are able to distinguish between ordinary people and politicians.

When I visited Serbia not long after the 1999 bombing I was treated with kindness and respect, even by those who did not know my views on the NATO aggression.

I also know of ordinary, innocent Serbs who have been shunned or treated disrespectfully by people in Western countries who know nothing about them.

I don't believe that the Serbs love America and Americans, but they are aware that their help is needed and good relations too. I believe that they will continue to work on it.
