Yes they could sell it to Russia, but then again China has it's own natural resources. Oh and the global economic crisis is catching with China now too. It was bound to happen.
Seriously Ian gives it a rest as you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m talking about industry which needs energy on a large and I get from you “Take my home for example”. Just give it a rest.

Also in the West we are using Sola Pannels, recycling hot water and using natural under ground hot water to heat our homes. We don't need gas. All these new methods are becoming more and more common place each day. We really don't need gas that much anymore.

Has Master Putin and Russia got a back up plan to rule all of Europe?

Because it is time for Plan B!

Tell the Germans about how they can run their industries using solar panels alone. You may also tell Exxon not to bother any further with oil or gas exploration - I don’t know why I bother even replying when I’m dealing with simpletons who think a few panel on the roof will do away with oil or gas.

Yawn..... I didn't even mention oil. This is a case of me saying X and you claiming that I said Y. I was saying that Sola Panels are used to generate electricty and heat water in the home, not that it is a replacement for natural resources.

In my two comments I didn't even mention the word oil, yet you seem to think that I think Sola Panels will replace oil. I never said or implied such a thing.

My comments were regarding how gas isn't in need as it once was as alternatives are becoming increasingly popular. Nothing to do with oil.

"Seriously Ian gives it a rest as you don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m talking about industry which needs energy on a large and I get from you “Take my home for example”. Just give it a rest.
(sj, 13 September 2012 16:06)"

Yes obviously Industry needs energy on a large scale, I'm not disputing that; that goes without saying. But gas isn't necessarily needed on a large scale & one of the biggest uses of natural gas accross Europe is heating homes & giving homes hot running water. Hence why I used my home as an example & why I gave examples of the increasingly popular alternatives.

X not Y!

The West of the EU (aka the part with all the money) isn't the bit which buys natural resources from Russia anyway. And thankfully there already are plenty of pipelines. So much for your 2050 figure. But the mighty South Stream will go to all the rich countries with lots of money like Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia ect. And there are more gas pipelines coming from Africa too such as the Medgaz pipeline, Trans-Mediterranean Pipeline, Maghreb–Europe Gas Pipeline, Greenstream pipeline, Trans-Saharan gas pipeline, West African Gas Pipeline which goes onto feed European gas pipelines. And plenty of other non-African ones too.

Yes they could sell it to Russia, but then again China has it's own natural resources. Oh and the global economic crisis is catching with China now too. It was bound to happen.

Oh and another thing, I think someone forgot to tell you... but natural gas is a thing of the past aka a 20th century thing. In Western Europe now we go for greener cheaper more efficient options for heating our homes, cooking our food and washing our selves, which don't need natural gas/ need less natural gas.
Take my home for example, we have insulation in the walls and in the roof which keeps my house warmer. I have an electric shower, electric cooker and an electric fire in my living room. Gas is on the decrease in Europe as there are cheaper, more effecient, greener & safer options.

Yep you just keep on thinking like that and just maybe they might start constructing pipelines by 2050 from North Africa. Meanwhile South stream is only 2 years away from coming on line and with that Russia will supply more than 65% of all natural gas to Europe.

The second important part is that even if the EU did not take a drop of Russia’s energy they could sell all they produce to China alone. Which ever way you look the west is screwed.

In my two comments I didn't even mention the word oil, yet you seem to think that I think Sola Panels will replace oil. I never said or implied such a thing.

My comments were regarding how gas isn't in need as it once was as alternatives are becoming increasingly popular. Nothing to do with oil.

Nikolić underscored that Serbia "cannot allow any changes of the situation in Kosovo by force, because force was renounced as far back as in 1999":

"We will not do anything by force, but we will do everything within the UN Security Council," Nikolić said.

Dear Toma,

Serbia will not do anything by using force because she does not have the power necessary to use force.

Like comedy, strategy is all about timing. The time is not right now to take Kosovo. Why expend reso0urces now when by 2014 it will come to you. Now for all you Albanians its not Pasha Putin, but Lord and Master because he will rule Europe through energy and we all know that without energy there is nothing. Why do you thing the US went into Iraq? To free the oil from a nasty dictator of course. The clock is ticking.
(sj, 12 September 2012 14:20)

Yes Lord and Master Putin (aka the Pretender) will be there begging for Europe to buy Russia's natural resources to keep Russia's economy a float, especially after spending all that money on pipe lines ect. That'll need paying for. But the West isn't stupid, we're getting natural resources from the Middle East and North Africa instead ;) oh yes and we will be drying up the Falklands for every last drop of oil too. And we're buying coal from Brazil. You see there are many many alternatives to Russia. Best not to keep all your eggs in one basket.

Russia's goal is the further development of economic, humanitarian and cultural ties with Serbia, so that cooperation can be raised to the level of strategic partnership, Putin also told reporters. Putin if you are going to help poor Serbia. Help the thousands poorest that eat only one meal in 5 and two days go on a fast because soup kitchens are closed on weekends & holidays. Also fix the torture chambers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htNIwNyM1Tk&feature=related in Serbia for the handicapped of Serbia. Against the strongest military alliance on this planet? No.

Against organ extractors and Jihadists..Serbia using its military would even be unfair. I think a couple of Gorbari and Delije from Belgrade and volunteers would surely lift occupation of our province and finally establish rule of law.

Now if you want to rely on foreign sponsors forever, then good luck to you.

Serbia too needs S-300 and other up-to-date armaments. Diplomats can do nothing if they have no good army behind. And even if you are not going to use force you don't have to say it openly. It's a stupid politics weakening Serbia's negotiating positions.

Russia's future = Gas = LOL

You are right , Serbia is not in he position to ignore it's own army. Next war K-people won't enjoy the same support of NATO while Russia is able to radically rearm the Serbian armed forces of all kind. Look how effective were the Allawites to shoot down the Turkish F-16. NATO has got the signal and talks of a Lybian type no fly zone stopped immediately. Serbia too needs S-300 and other up-to-date armaments. Diplomats can do nothing if they have no good army behind. And even if you are not going to use force you don't have to say it openly. Also in the West we are using Sola Pannels, recycling hot water and using natural under ground hot water to heat our homes. We don't need gas. All these new methods are becoming more and more common place each day. We really don't need gas that much anymore.

yes and I assume the South Stream Pipeline is a figment of our imagination too ;) While Nabucco is just days away from completion right ? ;) You think Russia has to beg countries to buy its NATURAL resources? Resources that you cannot reproduce wherever you like? It goes both ways, purchasing oil and coal from Middle East and Brazil is a much more expensive option than from Russia.

sj

pre 11 godina

(Ian, UK, 12 September 2012 16:42)

Yep you just keep on thinking like that and just maybe they might start constructing pipelines by 2050 from North Africa. Meanwhile South stream is only 2 years away from coming on line and with that Russia will supply more than 65% of all natural gas to Europe.

The second important part is that even if the EU did not take a drop of Russia’s energy they could sell all they produce to China alone. Which ever way you look the west is screwed.

Now remember it Lord and Master Putin.

Tell the Germans about how they can run their industries using solar panels alone. You may also tell Exxon not to bother any further with oil or gas exploration - I don’t know why I bother even replying when I’m dealing with simpletons who think a few panel on the roof will do away with oil or gas.

Ian, been paying attention to the conference in Vladivostok? 13 Bil. liquid gas terminal and so forth? Pipelines go both ways my friend. It's a sellers market and will be for a long time, shale, oil sands not withstanding. If anything, those "new" sources just perpetuate the hydrocarbon addiction and delay the day of reckoning. And when they're gone, take a look at what's happening in Russia's agricultural sector over the last few years. That's not even accounting for the coming effects of global warming. It's OK, Russia will feed you, if you don't forget your place. And if you do, that's OK too, by then there'll be over two billion hungry Chinese; hell, the're the ones who'll be working the fields anyway (Russia's own Mexicans!) Yes, you are still miles above us, but you sure are falling fast, to paraphrase Chuky Manson's favorite song.

Ari: It is amusing to read a comment, albeit an accurate one, about reliance on foreign sponsors in response to an article where Tomislav has gone to Moscow seeking support from Putin over Kosovo. No doubt it will be sold as 'cooperation' but the truth is that all small countries rely on support from larger ones and the larger ones are happy to provide it in return for a) a guarantee of relative peace and b) investment opportunities (maybe they should be the other way around).

@the count of disneyland:

Serbia has enough military-power to make you run to mother-Albania... but that would not be a smart move now.

we have time. you don´t. the US won´t be infinitely there for you and so it is better to wait and watch how things unfold.

but with comments like count of disneyland has posted... you are only displaying how "despered" you are ( I´m sorry, that´s the way an Albanian has written it! although limited in his capabilities, he perhaps even believes to be german, how he is constantly and ineffectively claiming )

the important thing about this is: Russia and China, and all those real states oriented towards their liberty and the rule of law will very likely shar their view... Russia and China have clearly reiterated that nothing has changed. you Albanians don´t like that, that´s understandable though. and therefore you are belittling it, trying to play it down and ridicule it... but in the end, that´s all you can do!

so, without realizing it, my dear k-albanian friends, you are constantly displaying how weak you actually are, while you are barking like little doggies in an old woman´s garden...

but sooner or later the dog catcher will come and take you...
Serbia will be there, when the time has come - don´t you worry about that. =)

Lenard,

SS-400 ( Iskander) and SS-500 are not for sale. Besides those are multipurpose systems tied with our cosmic facilities which other states have no access to. The missiles can deliver nuke charges and they can work as antiaircraft systems while their range can be increased up to 2000 km. So deployed in Kaliningrad they can reach any part of Europe. But I don’t think you meant the missiles to be transported to Croatia by air. As for Serbia it will be second after Greece European country to have the SS-300 complex. The thing is we supply such systems only to friendly countries which Croatia since Ustashas has never been. You always seek friends in the West so please cry for Patriots which are much worse than the systems you mentioned.

EA

did they talk about "the independence" of South Ossetia and Abkhazia...what does international law say?.......)))

There’s a Russian saying ЧЬЯ БЫ КОРОВА МЫЧАЛА , А ТВОЯ БЫ МОЛЧАЛА. I mean it’s not for the Albanians to open their mouths in the context. Both the Ossetians and the Albanians lived there during the last 2500 years while the two nations entered Russia much earlier than Georgia. In 1936 Stalin presented the lands to Georgia. About 40% of the Ossetian lands still remain in Georgia. By the way Stalin himself was of Ossetian origin and the only town which used to have his name was Stalinir now Tshinval.
